I tell all this gringos who are anti-illegal immigration make to " make sure when you buy a HOUSE research and see who built it, when you go to the grocery store and buy VEGETABLES research and see who plucked them from the ground, next time who drive in the HIGHWAYS investigate who were the CONSTRUCTION workers, and also next time you say " I SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" investigate and see who are SOME OF THE PARENTS OF THESE KIDS FIGHTING FOR YOUR OWN FREEDOM KEEP THESE IN MIND.

My brother-in-law who had a building contractor company (that was put out of business thanks to cheap day laborers working for competitors) built it. There were three guys that helped with the project, that were third generation latino Americans, master craftsmen that designed and made a beautiful kitchen for me. No ILLEGALS worked on my house.

African-Americans were (and maybe some still are) sharecroppers, and farmers, and I guess I should thank them first for all of the hard labor that slaves, and farm laborers did for centuries before the illegals arrived. Thanks guys. :-) By the way, I am a rancher, so every time an illegal eats beef I should get part of the praise that you think they all deserve. BTW, aren't they paid for their work?

They don't work for free. Highway jobs pay very good. I am sure there are many Americans who would like those jobs ---BACK.

I beg to differ. I know who built my house and it wasn't illegals. I am however stuck in a law suit from when my father had illegals do a siding job they were fully paid for but never finished before they fled for the border. This house and a few hundred others. I grow my own vegetables. It's not illegals building our roads here either. They do however have a massive drug business going on here and I doubt they report that and pay taxes. They did steal some landscaping stuff that was stored so I know they're making money off that, under the table. It's been reported many work under the table and don't pay taxes. How can they send BILLIONS back to Mexico every year doing low paying jobs if they aren't breaking the law in other ways or getting free care they should pay for if they didn't lie and have their income untraceable? I'm sure there are some who are paying into the system but I'm afraid many more are not. They have found every loophole there is and are using it to their benefit. They are reaping benefits citizens can't get because we are traceable.....they are not. I'm sure they're doing their part on sales tax......but they seem to have an unlimited supply of disposable income to shop with. The cost far outweighs any benefits.

Wow, they pay into Social security. I guess if they wanted to reap the benefits of social security it would have been prudent to enter this country legally and become assigned their own social security #.
Prudence seems to be in short supply for those pesky illegals or at least used relatively rarely while on their quest for acceptance in an educated English speaking, law abiding country.

Just so you have an idea about how much Soc. Sec./ medicare is actually be collected per person it's roughly 8.5% of gross per pay period.
Someone making $7.50 who works 40 makes $300.00 will have roughly $25.50 withheld for ss/medicare.
Not exactly a mint. We as American citizens pay into this SS fund and have no promise of ever receiving the benefits of that fund in our lifetime ourselves. Didn't you examine your last SS quarterly benefits estimate?

About sales tax:
Could it be possible that the reason that tax manages to get paid is because there is not a sales registered in this great nation ( barring sales that are exempt by definition) that does not automatically have sales tax applied at the point of sale.
Any sale to any person in the United States of America that is not a purchase by a licensed retailer with an sales tax exemption #, non- profit organization with a sales tax exemption #, or government entity with an exemption # pays sales tax .

If you want to live in America abide by the law, pay your taxes and like it or leave.
Deport all illegals and their anchor babies upon detection.

Oh, I agree that they are paying taxes. The problen is, they are paying taxes on money that was paid to them illegally by people who are hiring them illegally at a rate the is illegally below the federal min wage. I can also tell you that the Illegals are being issued food stamps through illegal means. I can also tell you that the are receiving HEAP and a lot of other benefits illegally. I can also tell you that there are over 12 million jobs that they are employed in that is illegal because they have no papers allowing them to work here. I know that it is a fact that Mexican workers are doing farm work right here in my county for less than the required min wage. I do know that. So, they may be paying some taxes, but nothing compared to what would be paid if they were legally hired and paid the legal wage as required by all states. Because they work and pay a few taxes, still does not make the fact that they are here illegal, right.

I agree on this one, "Illegal" or not, they pay all the same taxes we "gringos" do. .. Some can argue and say, no way, well, they actually pay more, if you consider they use the Social Security numbers of other people just to get work; did you consider that a portion of their earned wages go into the SS retirement accounts of those who have been issued that social security number?
Note that our Government does not bring this to the attention of the public either. Have you ever heqard of an illegal alien being deported, and then refunded the amount placed in another account? Me either...as Social Security silently keeps it...

While most illegal immigrants may come only to seek work and a better economic opportunity, their presence outside the law furnishes an opportunity for terrorists to blend into the same shadows while they target the American public for their terrorist crimes. Some people advocate giving illegal aliens legal status to bring them out of the shadows, but, if we accommodate illegal immigration by offering legal status, this will be seen abroad as a message that we condone illegal immigration, and we will forever be faced with the problem.

Your link is an editorial. It is based on an OPINION not fact. Please stop spreading lies that the illegal alien criminals, whereever they come from, are paying enough taxes to cover the services that they extract from the taxpayer. Here are the FACTS, not opinion:

1) Generally, the income for the illegal alien criminals is very low and becasue they don't have a SS# they are paid under the table. 2) This means that the only taxes they pay are sales tax. That is based on their purchases and since they don't make much, they don't spend much. Sales tax doesn't pay for schools and other services.
3) IF they filed a tax return, which they can't because they don't have a SS#, since their income is so low and they typically have lots of kids, they would pay NO taxes and would qualify for an earned income tax credit. This means they would pay in MORE than they paid.
4) It costs the taxpayer thousands of dollars each year to educate a child. Even IF they paid some taxes, their tax llevel wouldn't make up for the amount that is spent on their kids.
5) It costs taxpayers money when someone is uninsured and they go to the ER for medical treatment. Typically an illegal alien criminal is not insured so the taxpayer has to cover these expenses.

If you can't state facts instead of opinion, please refrain from posting your lies. ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS DON'T PAY ENOUGH TAXES TO COVER THE SERVICES THEY GET!!!!

There was a government study on that in Florida and it came up with about half paying tax of some sort. I suspect it is similar, nationwide. The point beyond that is how much tax, however.

Since it costs $10,000 to educate a single child for a single year in California, anyone who pays less tax in local property taxes than the amount paid to educate their children is getting subsidized out of our own children's education funds. Job opportunities and health care, food stamps for dependants and aid to families with dependent children all aside, our schools are being ruined by the huge numbers of illegal immigrant children in our schools. Our own children aren't getting the education we pay for, and their children are NOT more important than our own.
