My 1 yr anniversary w/ my boyfriend is this Sunday and I haven't been in a relationship this serious/long term in a long long time. I'm just wondering what are some appropriate gifts for a 1 yr anniversary (on a budget!!)...you know something not over the top but not under-done either (lol). Thanks!!!

Take him to a paint your own pottery place and get creative! Its not that expensive and its a great way to paint something you will keep forever TOGETHER celebrating your day!
Congrats!

Without knowing more details and where you are from.......

If you two are sleeping together:

How about a nice Bed & Breakfast? A simple get-away for a Saturday or Sunday just the two of you without all the interference of phones or work or friends or family bothering you.

How about a mall hotel room? Some of these larger ammals with an attached hotels on them offer a $100 shopping certificate to the mall for a romantic overnite stay. Check a Simon Mall in your city and see. Usually it is a downtown mall that has a Mariott or a Hyatt os similiar names. These are usually $200-300.

If not sleeping together:

A nice romantic carriage ride through downtown after an elegant dinner somewhere nice. Sort of a higher budget pricing. But the carriage allows you to be cozy together while viewing the downtown lights together.

Be a kid again...go to Build a Bear shop in a mall and build a special bear together. Place a recording of you two together into the bear celebrating your special day! This is nice since it is limited to what you want to spend.....from $15 to $100. Plus this is something that you two can do together.

Splurge and go do some Glamour shots. It can be a bit more costly though. But this way, you two can have an annual couples picture for your walls. Start an annual tradition every anniversary.

Just some ideas for you without knowing more details. I hope you both have fun no matter what you may end up doing. Congratz on your 1year. It's a good start of a foundation for something special! =)

Hey first year anniversaries are a big deal! But they don't have to break your wallet. If you can't afford much, print out some photos of u guys and make a collage in a frame. I got a frame for under $20 with layers of glass in side of it and put pictures and the anniversary date i and he loved it. He keeps it at his desk and tells me he looks at it every day.

If that is too much work then maybe a nice wallet? Depends on your budget I guess but something he can use everyday would be pretty sweet.... if your budget is under $200 then maybe an ingraved ipod. They had a special offer a while ago where they do that for free but I'm not too sure anymore. I just think something handmade is always a nice gift. =]

1st off I would like to say congrats, relationships dont last long these days. I think that a nice dinner would be nice. If you can cook, he would appreciate that, if not then you could do something romantic like a coupon book. It doesnt have to be sexual, but make one of all the things that he likes and he can use it through out the day or the month.

What does he like? If you want something that shows the affection and relationship you have, go get pictures of the two of you, buy his favorite thing, take him out to dinner, Whatever he likes to do and that you would enjoy. Like our 1 yr, we went to an arcade, and then a nice dinner and then watched a movie in the hotel room.
