Warrants last forever. As long as an arrest warrant is issued before the statute of limitations expires (and a judge won't issue a warrant if the statute has expired), the warrant stays active until the offender is apprehended.

there is not any statute of obstacles on an arrest warrant. they could arrest him at any element.
