I'm having an extra hard time staying awake today. Usually (since I'm not a coffee drinker) one small cup of coffee will get me wired. Today it just isn't working at all. I got a normal amount of sleep too. (~7hours). Is there anything else I can do?

Coffee is a pressure booster, but only for a while, chocolate has much permanent (and healthier effect ). Green tea, cold air, deep respiration and lite exercise are beneficial, too. Sometimes, when I`m sleepy at work, I go and wash my face with cold water. But that can be very unpleasant. Sometimes it`s best to acknowledge that our body reacts to atmosphere pressure, stress, and all kind of other things, so when it sends message that it`s tired - simply indulge it if You can.

research has found that not only do people sleep 7-8 hrs at night but given no limit on time allowed in bed they actually take a 1-2 hour nap in the middle of the day.
