Go to a place like Petfinder and see what rescues (not shelters) are in your area. Many shelters are kill shelters. They keep dogs "X" amount of time and they are put down if they're not adopted. Rescues are most often against putting a dog to sleep and will work to find good homes for dogs. They pride themselves on being able to find a home for every dog they take on so you'd have a better assuance you pups would go to a good home.
Are they "fixed"? If they're not be careful in advertising them "all over" an unaltered dog is going to draw back yard breeders and the like who want dogs for nothing but the pups they can produce and the money the pups can make. Also ask an adoption fee for them. If you find a home by ads in petstores and the like you can always decide not to collect it but by asking a fee you are going to attact people who really want a pet and want to take care of them not the sicko across town that wants them for bait to train his dog to fight.

Do you have a PAWS in your area? Either that, or even the news paper. Those are the two places I've gone for pets. If you really can't take care of them, and you want them to be placed in a good home, PAWS is the best! If you have a little time and can interview new owners I'd go through the news paper.

what ever breed they are there are groups that rescue dogs. Taking them to a shelter will most likely be put down. so search dog rescue people, but check them out really good first, because alot of them pose as rescue people and really sell your poor dogs to labs for research. They would be better off put down then in a bad home. I wish you good luck with this one.

Find a local non-kill shelter. They will find homes from them. Or, there is also pet groups on yahoo where you can list your dogs in hopes of adopting them out. Or, last suggestion is to list them on Craig's list in your city and see if you can't find a home for them that way. Hope that helps.

You can take them to your local animal shelter.
You could also perhaps put an ad in the paper offering your dogs to a loving home.

The only hope is to try and find someone that can foster them till they can find them a new home. If you surrender them they don't have much chance of making it out. I wish you didn't have to make this decision but at least your not abandoning them like some people do. Thank you for that.

Try looking through online classifieds to see if they have free posting services. I think you can also list free at petfinder.com.
Aside from that you'll just have to check with shelters and see what their policies are and if they put down dogs who arent adopted.

Please contact your local Humane Society or a local veterinarian. Those people should be able to help you. As long as your dogs are adoptable, these agencies will find homes for them.

So sorry you have to go through this.
