I had 2 cats when I was younger. The older one was a calico named Ziggy. I think she was named after the comic strip.

The younger we called Squeak, because she would make a noise every time you picked her up, or even touched her.

My friend had a cat named Bubba. You didn't even think about messin with Bubba, cuz he would beat you up. Although, he was really a nice cat in disquise, once he got to know you. He was a big cat as well.

My theory with naming pets, has always been to pick out a characteristic, or a personality of the pet, and go with that.

My dad had a dog with short legs, so I suggested we call him Stubby, but my dad named him Whizbang instead, simply because no one else liked the name.

As he isa boy, the first name I thought of probably wouldn't fit. It's Minouche, which is French for pounce, which most cats do. The other is a name my daughter is considering for her next dog, which is Zepplin. You might try names in a name book, as some of them can apply to animals as well as people. I know of someone who had a dog named John, as well as somene who had a sign on their house which said "Beware of Doug", as their dog's name was Doug. Good luck with your search
