25 Letters In The Alphabet

The English Alphabet always has 26 letters; however, there are other languages that use the same alphabet - usually called the Latin Alphabet - that use less letters, and others that use more.

For example, Samoan only uses 14 letters, and Italian only 21. On the other hand, Spanish is said to have 29 letters, as CH, LL and RR are counted as separate letters; Hungarian has the 26 letters (although some letters, like q and w are only used to write foreign names) plus á, é, í, ó, ö, ő, ú, ü, ű , cs, gy, ly, ny, ty, sz, zs. Icelandic has consonants that are unknown in English, such as þ and Ð/ð and a vowel æ; this vowel also sometimes appears in English and French to write Greek names, as does the vowel œ.

What would add we already use several letters to make the same sound. like c=s or c=k we could do away with c and there are several more.

Interestingly enough to note, Tap code or knock code has 25 letters, both C and K are represented by the same code, three taps then one tap (3,1). Perhaps Suggesting that K is the letter that should be done away with instead of C. This being from the point of view of C being in fact more versatile, rather than more redundant to other letters.
