Although they are some of the nicest people in the world, there are some serious issues.

They are lobotomized into their doctrine. They are taught to believe that their Bible (which changes "Lord" to say Jehovah in every instance and which is missing about 25 verses) is superior to the KJV.

They teach that Jesus is not divine. They believe He is the Savior and the Son of God, but that he doesn't have any element of Godliness or Divinity himself. The Holy Spirit is not a personage for them, but simply a force.

They believe people don't have spirits, but that our blood defines us, which is why thay can't do transfusions. For them, it would be like taking someone else's soul into their body.

They can't celebrate birthdays, Christmas, national holidays, or even religious holidays because they are all pagan, and their allegiance goes to God and none else. They can't even stand and say the pledge of allegiance or sing the national anthem, or even put their hand over their heart. They are like a worldwide subculture with allegiance to itself and only itself.

At least Mormons are taught to be good citizens and serve their countries, but JW's are just out there. They are almost like a religious army trying to take over the world. Remember in 1914 when over half of them either committed suicide or left the faith because Jesus' second coming didn't happen as predicted? Then in the 50's, it happened again and more of them killed themselves. So they reverted back to the 1914 date and said that Jesus had come 'invisibly'. Let's find a Bible verse to support that one, guys!

It is just very scary how committed and exclusive they are. Look at the guy at the top who says "I love all my brothers and sisters no matter what nationality/race". They consider JW's their brothers/sisters/friends and even if they have never met, they will still call them their friends. Ask them if their peers from other religions are their friends/brothers/sisters and they will say something like "I pray every day that Jehovah can give me the strength to reach their minds and help them become my brother/sister".

Just plain weird.

Like all christians, they suppose to follow christ's footsteps, why don't christians embrace a life of humillity and humbleness?, in the sect of the jehova's witnesses they're supposed to never stand-out in the crowd, always be humble, but the jehova's witnesses aren't like that, apparently they are of the richest people who practice a religion along with the jews...maybe that's why the nazis also sent jehova's witnesses to concentration camps.
In my family i have 3 uncles who are elders in their jehova's witnesses congregation, i really know how jehova's witnesses can be, no humbleness at all, one of these 3 uncles has a 3 story house and the best cars and material things of all his other 10 siblings...they preach to refuse a life of material things yet they don't practice what they preach.

Of course you'll get a lot of derogatory comments here...maybe that is what you are looking for???

Anyway...black pants & white shirt is Morman. We did not change God's name. Jehovah is the accepted English spelling of God's name. Jesus is the accepted English spelling of God's sons name. All Jehovah's Witnesses do not have a lot of money. I don't. Jehovah's Witnesses are hard workers. We all have to work and support ourselves. Some just make more than others. Having money is not wrong, it's the love of money, or the pursuit of money that is the the problem. All of our work is financed by voluntary contributions. Many work all day for nothing to print literature and bibles. Many serve as missionaries or local pioneers and only work part time just to support themselves.

There are over 6.5 million witnesses worldwide in 236 lands. We are not a cult. We are Christian. We believe and base all our beliefs on the bible. We believe that Jesus is God's son and the Messiah, it is only by means of his ransom sacrifice that we can have forgiveness of sins and the hope of everlasting life.
John 17: 3 "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you the only true God, and the one whom you sent forth Jesus Christ."

We go door to door sharing the bible message regarding God's Kingdom and its provisions for the future. Although, many do not like us coming to their door, many Jehovah's Witnesses were originally contacted in the door to door ministry. We are only doing what Jesus instructed his followers to do. "This good news of the Kingdom will be preach throughout the inhabited earth, and then the end will come. " Matt. 24: 14 The end has not come yet, so we will continue to preach door to door about God's Kingdom.

Further to comment on some things said....Jehovah's Witnesses have never committed suicide over a date?? That must be another old wives tale.

There are many Jehovah's Witnesses that did serve in the military prior to becoming a Witnesses. My father for one was in the Airforce. But on learning how God feels about war and killing, we follow his example to "learn war anymore." Isa. 2: 4 As stated earlier we are a worldwide brotherhood and would not go to war and kill one of our brothers from another country. Yes, we can meet a complete stranger that is a Jehovah's Witnesses and consider them our brother. I have gone to other countries and spend the day with other witnesses that I just met and had a great time. We have a instant connection, because we worship the same God and worship him the same way. So we have lots to talk about.

We do not celebrate holidays because of their pagan origin. The bible says "Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Be'li.al? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? 2 Cor. 6: 14 & 15 We do not want to mix any pagan practices with our worship of God. What harmony is there between Christ and Santa Clause or the Easter Bunny? Look up where those practices came from.

We do not take blood transfusions per the bibles instructions at Acts 15: 28 & 29 "For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to you, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper. Good health to you!" There are many alternative to blood transfusions. The next time doctors tell you that you need a blood transfusion, you can ask for alternatives.

Jehovah's name was added back in the bible where it had been taken out from the most ancient bible manuscripts including the dead sea scrolls. God and Lord are titles, not God's name.
Any verses left out that were in the KJV, were left out because they were not in the older manuscripts.

Hopefully this has clear up some misunderstanding of our beliefs.
You may not agree, but everything we believe and practice is based on the bible.

number one, we did not change God's name, it is in the king james bible also. number two. we don't wear black pants and white shirts for the men, that is mormon. number three, we don't push our religion on anyone, we do what Jesus Christ commanded us at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. the mormons only have the young men doing it for two years. we do it forever. also we are a religion, not a cult as people keep saying we are. a cult worships man. we worship Jehovah and Jesus Christ. we live in our own homes in 236 lands. we may be next door to you and or work next to you on your job. our magazines and books are free as well as our bible studies. they laughed at Noah when he was building the ark, so Jehovah told Noah to take the animals instead. Jehovah did not destroy the earth, he destroyed the wicked people, just like he will do again for not obeying him. Adam and Eve disobeyed Jehovah so they lost there lives and because they are our parents, we are born into sin also. www.watchtower.org

Jehovah's witnesses are witnesses to nothing. They admit in their book that "while inclining to view the pronunciation yahweh as the more correct way, we have retained the form Jehovah because of people familiarity with it. The original text for the name of God is YHWH. The JWs changed y to j and added e o and a tomake it jehovah. They named God. That name is erroneous. That is why they are witnesses to nothing.

They appear on my doorstep, black pants, white shortsleeve shirt, and a black tie. I'm hoping for the Geek Squad, instead I get thumped. Always demand an official Geek Squad i.d. before opening the screen door...
