About the current Pope and the Papal insitution.

Is Cardinal Nazinger, AKA Pope Baby-Addictus XVI an honest person?

How different is a Pope from David Koresh or L. Ron Hubbard?

What do you say?

The current pope, benedict, was indeed DRAFTED late in WWII into the military service in Germany (Hitler youth was mandatory to all german youth). He was NOT, however, a Nazi. Is not, never was, never will be, and never supported the Nazi movement. To say that his participation in the Hitler youth constituted anti-semitism is to say that all germans wanted the jews exterminated... a fact which is simply racist and untrue.

Shortly after the war, according to an account by the jewish lady herself, a young private Ratzinger was returning to his village after being released from his forced military service. Three miles from his village, he encounted a starved Jewish woman who had been released from a concentration camp. She was too weak to stand, much less walk back to the village... without medical attention, and soon, she would surely die. Private Ratzinger PICKED HER UP and carried her 3 miles to the village, saving her life.

Throughout his career, Cardinal Ratzinger served in the role of defining and defending the faith of the church... including the view that genocide is wrong. Today, as pope, Pope Benedict is one of the world's leading proponents of tolerance and compassion among the varying people of the world.

How does he differ from Koresh or Hubbard? He's a duly appointed leader of the Catholic church (not a cult) and He's the servant of God.

He is a friggin ex-Nazi. Furthermore, he is a fool for comparing stem cell research and genetic selction for removing genes that cause dibilitating diseases to "eugenics" - which was practiced by his own Nazi party in the 1940's. (incidentally, eugenics was first performed in the USA in the 1930s - but when we saw what Hitler was doing with it, we dropped our programs so as to avoid confusion...we used to sterilize criminals and "retarded" people in an effort to remove it from society.)
