I see prayer as meditation. I don't believe that He answers but I don't know for sure.

some people pray for advice, but they already know the real answer themselves, it's usually the hard to do one. Most people pray to win the lottery or beat cancer or something, that a coin just can't take care of.

I guess I would think like you, only I actually do pray and not just for things I want God to do or decide for me. I pray to keep an ongoing relationship with God. I don't expected the small-minded to understand something like that.

God answers prayers of those who have faith and trust completely in Him.

There is no request that is not answered. Sometimes the answer is no, however.
