I used to think too much coffee isnt good ( I drink 3-4 cups a day) However if you have high blood pressure it can be part of the reason. Recent studies have shown however that people who drink alcohol regularly seem to have better luck with their livers if they also drink a lot of coffee. Something in the coffee seems to reduce the effect of alcohol on the liver. Drink some green tea too--it has a lot of anti-oxidants and caffeine (about 1/4 as much caffeine as coffee).

I drink a cup of coffee every two hours. I get sleepy if I don't. I am 70 and fit. If I hadn't drank coffee, I would have probably been a dull useless blob and be overweight or dead by now. Also I have a few beers every evening since 20.
