Don't do it.

Not because its dangerous but because it will be a horrible back breaking exercise. Moreover, you'll find most place to eat have a rather crowded geography. Trying to maneuver a big bag thru a maze of small tables holds the potential for an embarrassing disaster.

You also don't make clear how you will be traveling. If its an 8 hour layover at an airport you're well advised to stay put even if you had no bag.

If its at a train station then perhaps you can check your bag thru to your destination and have a walk around the city.

I would not lug your suitcase around Paris for 8 hours if it is as large as you are making it out to be! The streets are quite narrow and lots of foot traffic, so it would not be enjoyable. There is also a risk of theft, if someone can manage to pickpocket your suitcase they will!

I would leave it in a locker at the train station. If you are traveling through Gare du Nord, they definitely have lockers you can leave it in. I'm not sure about other stations, but the stations that take the trains from places like London and Rome would be large enough to have lockers! Good luck!

Stuff that i offered from the debit card i chanced on. right here is lots of the stuff I have been given: Yemen espresso which isn't perishable, some unknown brown substance and a physique spray spraying snow globe. I have been given some fairly stable tasting lasagna too. Oh and that i offered this suitcase with that debit card too.

No need to do it. Rent a luggage compartment in the airport or in the train station and leave it there. It will cost around 20 Euros, it is safer and more practical than taking it everywhere...

It would be a bad idea to lug your large suitcase around anywhere for 8 hours IMHO. But that's just me. :-)

As soon as you get of the train find the "consigne bagage", it is usually as a chek desk in a respectable restaurant or club... Sort of expensive about 10euros for the day....but hand free!!!!
Note/ doesn't existe in every train station... Good visit

I would say the easiest way would be to check your luggage in a cheap hotel. Most restaurant are very tight and carrying your luggage around would not be easy.

no but you'll get really annoyed with your bag. try and find a left luggage facility somewhere - although with european terrorism concerns, im not sure how much there is around..
