The dieting habits of young girls is contributing to the rise in mental health issues and what seems like a national trend lately in the need for Psychiatrists and use of psych medications?

We don't promote or advertise health in this country, we vacillate between gluttony and complete and total deprivation and denial.

Girls... Drink water, Take vitamins, get exersize and sleep and if you still need medication... It's probably your medication that is making you nuts! It is getting out of control and it seems to me that people would rather live unhealthy lifestyles and take meds than become healthy without them?

Anyone agree or disagree and why?

There is a direct coallation between mental health and diet and exercise...Sedintary people tend to suffer from depression more so than active people.

I agree too. What I believe is this something natural due to the over-exploitation of the anorexic image promoted by most media lately... There are several campaigns around the globe trying to promote a HEALTHIER life style, but not just the skinny-look.

It all comes to an end of how somebody builds up their Own Self-Esteem... That is the quid !
