If he was not neutered, he left to find a girlfriend. He may get back, but do neuter him if he does, because
a. he runs the risk of getting diseases, sexually transmitted or from cat fights over a lady
b. he may get lost
c. he contributes to the overpopulation of stray cats.

If he has not been neutered, your kitty may have gone to pay court and woo a ady cat in heat in the neighborhood. He'll come back once he gets hungry enough. When he does, you need to take him to vet to get fixed (neutered). After that, he won't roam away anymore. But really, you need to keep your cat indoors becuase they can get run over by cars or injured by other animas.

if he isn't fixed then yes, it's normal. he's out looking for a female & his own territory. i once had a male cat that left, and didn't come back for 4 months!!! (i almost didn't recognize him! he was all grown up when he came back, if it weren't for his distinctive tail i would have wondered what this strange cat was doing meowing at the door as if he lived there!)
good luck finding him!

If your cat isn't neutered then he left to find a mate.
Will he come back?
Hopefully, as long as he didn't get hurt in some way.

Please, when and if he does come back have him neutered and keep him in the house...don't let him roam around outside.

Yes it's normal for a male cat who are not nuetered. He'll leave and come back after he breeds. Neuter your cat it'll be better for him. He can get into fights and stuff.

I've always had cats growing up. I've lost two. Both times I put up posters and my neighbours were able to find them and bring them home. I really didn't expect to see them either. It was months before they returned and I'd given up hope both times.

Was he fixed? Cats who aren't fixed tend to roam more.
