I recently decided to start taking multivitamins but I don't know if I should take them before going to bed or after a meal. Any sugestions?

i was wondering that myself a couple of months ago and so I did some research and I also asked a friend who is a nutritionist and I was surprised with the answer although when you think about it it made sense.

It doesn't matter what time of day you take the vitamin.

You do want to take the vitamin with THE largest meal of YOUR day for digesting reasons (for me that would be dinner time) and you can avoid the sick feeling that some people get since they don't have enough food in their stomach for absorption.

Also you might want to check out Dr. Weil's website (hope I'm spelling that right) VERY educational. You might not be getting the exact vitamins that you need as an individual. And there are also artificial forms and natural forms of specific vitamins. You might be shocked to find out what is actually in your vitamin with a little research. Also you might want to see if they are time released which is preferable.

It does matter what time of day you take your multivitamins. Some people have trouble sleeping if they take their multivitamins in the evening. Some people, not everybody. It is best to take them in the morning after breakfast. Taking them in the morning gives you the whole rest of the day for your body to use the vitamins in the tablets. Take them late and your body doesn`t get all the vitamins and minerals. So morning is best.

I take one in the morning before breakfast which is usually at 6:30 and i take the second one at 1:30 after lunch. That what was recommended to me

It all depends on the person...Multivitamins have an effect on people in different ways....For me they make me sick so i take them at night.... When ever you want to take them. Any time of the day should be fine, but i think that its best to ask your doctor. Just make sure that you drink plenty of fluids...

You should take them in the morning and you can take them with a meal. Be sure the brand you chose though is well absorbed by the body. If it is not a brand that is well absorbed by your body it won't do you much good.
