Because they think it's their duty, which is a very annoying one.

Everyone has a voice and an opinion. Why is ok for everybody except Christians to speak their mind?
The true reason Christians, as you say "shove their beliefs down every ones throat" is out of love for their fellow man/woman. I am a Christian and want others to have salvation through Jesus Christ, including you.

it is by no means right to shove our beliefs down anyones throat our job according to the bible is only to tell people, people have there own choice whether to believe it or not,i think the reason they do that is because either they are truely concerned or they want a pat for saving someone(hoping it is not the latter)if they do that it is not of the bible,God only wants us to tell the people but if they dont believe wipe the dust from our feet, meaning leave them alone it is very annoying for someone to try to push anything on you,our belief states that you cant come to the Father unless He first draw you

Not all Christian's push their beliefs on others. I think a person's family can be the biggest "pushers or forcers" of the religion if they are a follower. They do it because they can - they think they should have influence since they are family. Then there are some who are extremist's and are forceful with trying to make you believe with fear. It's sad, and happens. You are who you are and being a good person is all that matters in the end. Good luck!

Define shoving. If you mean, come on here and post our belief, then grow up. There is a wonderful invention on the upper left of your screen called a Back key. Try using it.

I don't feel that I should shove my beliefs in your face. I am willing to share them with you, but I will not force you to believe what I do.

OF cource, it is not true that all christians take this position. but, according to my experience the ones that do are not absolutely sure of what they believe or know with any degree of certainty ; and don't want to be wrong or uncertain all by themselves. So they drag others into frey with them. Let me illustrate the idea and mindset futher for you. I once heard an individual state " if i get aids i am going to go out and infect as many people as i can before i die."

OHHH, this just gets me. Not all of us shove. I am a Christian. I love Jesus, but that doesnt mean you have to. I also am not one of those gay/lesbian hating, abortion dr killing, bible thumping people who want everyone to be just like me. I embrace peoples differences. Jesus commanded us to LOVE one another. And that was His greatest commandment. Just LOVE. Thats all. But I know there are some people who take it to the extreme and that is NOT what HE would have wanted. Have a nice day.

Not all Christians feel that way. I believe doing so is counterproductive. I believe that living your beliefs is a much stronger way to convert.
