They send you a new card.
Typically it will have an activation number that you will have to call to activate it before it can be used.
You are not obligated to do so however. If you want to let the account go inactive, simply ignore it and pay it off.

Everyone is right they will probably send you a new one VIA mail. But make sure you do this on your terms sometimes they will increase your limit which will reflect on your credit report, also sears mastercard recently took away the membership fee for the sears choice rewards program. If you use it and pay it off this will be a way to earn huge discounts at sears. Seeing how you already use it without the program they may be hesitant to tell you about it because that is just free money they give you.

Not to worry, credit card companies never want to lose paying customers. They will send you a new one and there will be an 800 number you will have to call to activate it. The instructions will be with the card.
Good luck and remember, if you take care of your credit, it will take care of you.

Assuming that you've been paying your bills on time, they will automatically renew it and mail you a new one. You will then have to call an 800 number to activate your new card. The instructions will be on the card.

Don't worry Your credit card company won't want to lose you. They will send you a new card before your current card expires.

They will send you a new one, expecially if you still owe them money. I did have one car cancel after I paid them off. I guess they didn't like the fact that I gave them $2000 at one time and I never missed a payment. Oh well, their loss.

They should automatically mail you a new one. If they don't, you can always call customer service and find out why.
