It means absolutely nothing if you don't use the dog to its potential. Is it show quality? Champions don't only produce champion quality pups most are pet quality. Unless it is an excellent representative of the breed and you plan to show it yes, you paid too much.

Do you have a pedigree for this dog? You can get in touch with me by my profile and I will take a look at it. When some people put Champion bloodlines in an ad, they do not specify what kind of lines. Are these American Show lines? This does not mean that you have a show dog. I have a show bred litter here right now. 1 puppy went to a show home, I am looking closely at the male right now, he is a nice pup structure and movement wise right now, but I won't know what he is until he is a lot older. A lot of Shepherd breeders put champion lines in an ad even when the dogs are only Schutzhund titled. When looking at a German Show pedigree from someone like this, I would expect to see almost every dog with a V or VA rating in that pedigree.

A champion blood line means that one or two of the parents or further back had won enough shows to be a champion. Now this means that the dog was a good example of its breed. Now this does'nt mean they can charge you top dollar for it..but dog breeders think they can. They add champion to a pedigree and everyone thinks..wow my dogs gonna win crufts. But the truth is they most probably do have a champion in the bloodline but then they breed them with deficient dogs so the pups have all the faults going!!!I should know I worked in a breeding kennels and I seen this going on everyday..thats why I left!!!!

That means you dogs parents achieved champion dogs status from appearing at dog shows. Dogs earn points in dog shows by winning best of breed, best in show or interbreed contests. Once they have accumulated so many points they earn a champion ranking. This means you dog comes from a very good bloodline. The better the lineage of of a dog the more the pups are worth.

It means absolutely nothing unless you plan to show or breed it.
I have one with so called championship blood-lines.The breeder tried to con me out of an outrageous sum for him.
I actually only paid $250 for him tho after I explained that I knew full well that he'd never see his own championships as his markings would disqualify him.Only one of his parents had won anything. They bred him with a sable and he has a white belly.White on his chest and the hair on his hind legs has alot of white in it.But for the most part he is black and tan.He also came with a hefty vet bill because he had a locked testicle so his off-spring had I not neutered him would probably have the same problem.Knowing I could not show him or breed him I accepted the fact that he'd be no more than the perfect dog for us but not for any more than $250.00.These people would need to con someone else or be stuck with him.It was their choice so they took the money.

It doesn't really mean much important. It only means that other dogs in his bloodline have met the requirements for being champions by winning a certain amount of competitions in dog shows. That doesn't guarantee your dog is championship material. And it doesn't say how many of your dog's ancestors were champions. His pedigree should tell you this.

simply means that there are Champion dogs in the pedigree of both parents. If you have a copy of their pedigree's, which you should paying that price, then all Champion dogs will have a CH in front of their registered name, meaning they are a champion.

It means nothing unless you have papers to prove it. If you don't have papers, you got ripped off. To be of champion blood lines the dogs parents have to have won major shows.

It means that somewhere in its lineage there was at least one champion showdog. It probably has all that listed in its pedigree. They're usually bought from high-end breeders for showing, which is why it is better to by a companion dog from the pound.
