I had a feeling that if I didnt break up with him what was to say if he would beat a cop that he would not beat up on me. So now I need help should I take him back or should I stay away from him. Well, considering the circumstances, you are better off staying away from him. You kinda answered your own question-you are right, he might start beating on you and then it will be that much harder to get away from him cos you will be scared of him at that point. But even if he doesn't start beating you and had a good reason to beat up a cop (which I don't believe), what's it to say he won't do it again. Or maybe next time he will rob someone or get sued by someone, put in jail etc. you don't need to deal with that kind of drama in your life now do you?

Bottom line: don't take him back, stay away from him (cos if you talk to him he might persuade you to take him back), MOVE ON!

LOL, he had the balls to do that? Have to admire it. Very stupid thing to do, but very brave… LOL again.

You have to see what was the reason:

If your b/f was right and the cop was being an as$hole as they have been lately, then is up to you to decide if to stay with him or not. He shouldn’t have done that anyways cause he has now a very bad record unless he can afford a lawyer that can prove that he is innocent and that the cop is guilty and needs to be not only suspended but also fired and even incarcerated. That would be the only way to try (and just try!) to remove that record from his history.

Now, if your b/f was doing something illegal, and was caught by that cop and he decided to be even more stupid and beat him up, then there is nothing to say. You did the right thing by dumping him. Period.

My recommendation: unless you would give your life for him because of your unconditional love, just do yourself a favor and move on. You don’t need a b/f with a criminal record. Do you?

STAY AWAY! You don't know much about him yet. It take time for true personality to surface. What if he have a string of criminal record? That would be a really bad thing.

Also he'll most likely end up using you as a secure spot then cheat on you or end up in prison again.

Edit:
Hey what's up with this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhoHh4xY67X1RJdOYnQmST3sy6IX?qid=20070218054319AAUl0ub

Wow... cheat on you after only a week then now in prison. Sounds like you have boyfriend of the year!

I understand where you are coming from but you don't know what the cop did in order to act that way believe me you will see signs if you think he will beat up on you...but if it was a female cop then that's different...one thing I know is that most cops are very rude and have nasty attitudes

Personally I would say to give it some time. Why did he beat up on this cop? If you really love the guy or at least care about him then give it some time before other people control your life. You need to really think about this. ..........maybe just maybe it was all just a big misunderstanding?????

No no no no no.. don't be too direct, that could creep the guy out counting on what style of guy he's. you should incredibly get to be attentive to him first! start up off with conventional communique, and doubtless get to the element the place you're conversing to him on a on a daily basis. keep engaged on that, and additionally you would be attentive to whilst the time is suitable to invite him. ;D reliable good fortune.

Come on, are you serious? As a general rule you don't date known felons. I would change your phone number and everything. Stay away from this guy.
