Global warming is a fact, just like global cooling. This planet's average temperature cycles around the freezing point of water and it is strongly affected by our star. If you look at the climatological history you will see that the Earth's mean temp has varied according to solar output. Global warming/global cooling is a natural cycle with miniature cycles of 10 to 15 years. We happen to be on the upswing of one of the subcycles.
Global warming as it is being presented to us is pure bunk. Humans, indeed all of humanity, cannot produce enough CO2, Methane, etc to affect more than a very small part of the environment for a very short period of time. A single volcano emits more CO2 than the entire population of the planet.
Do some real science and ignore the fear mongers, the 'chicken littles, and 'carbon footprinters'. Do some actual research, find the entire set of available data on climate changes and climatological history, do the arithmetic and MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND!

U are right ,CO2 is a very heavy gas now how would u measure it. It is so heavy that it can smother out a fire. At normal temperature it is right on the ground. To measure it 3 ft up u have already missed 70% of the gas. How does it reflect anything back to earth???
Then Methane is a very light gas ,so it goes very high in the atmosphere . How did the environmentalist measure it??? I have some other information that it is not there , so the bad gas got away ,where is it???
If the green house gas isn't there neither is global warming.

There are scientists and Weather forecasters who disagree with your statement, and they are Not getting funding from special groups pushing this POLITICAL agenda. Kyoto is a DODO.
Europe for the exception of two tiny countries can't even come close to the Kyoto Targets.
The Climate has Always Changed and will continue to do so.
Should we be good stewards of the Earth yes. Should we accept a Theory as a FACT NO! Socialisim by any other Name GLOBAL WARMING and Kyoto IS STILL SOCIALISIM.

Climatology is a science that studies the factors and identity of a climate over long periods of time. The 'science' and 'facts' promoted by environmentalists including Gore is dropped out of context and is completely unusable in determining the state of our climate. The current climate of our planet needs to be measured against eons of other data in order to determine whether or not we actually are 'warming up'. Just because temperatures have increased doesn't mean we need to jump to conclusions and start put a deadly stranglehold on industry and our lifestyle. Don't ever sacrifice your own well-being and happiness for anyone especially a facist like Al Gore.

Yep, total rubbish. Let the Englishman pay an extra tax for his plane ticket, his cab ride, his electric bill, whatever, but keep me out of it. Let the money go to the U.N. It is such a reputable institution. Build your tower of Babel, and repeat after me, “Man controls the Weather; Man Controls the Weather.”
Let the Chinese build their power plants, each month the equivalent of the entire country of England, and be exempt from the taxes. Let them burn CO2 and charge the manufacturers in England for their “Carbon Footprint.” And repeat after me, “Man controls the Weather; Man Controls the Weather.”
Let the bankers create an industry out of thin air, “Carbon Trading”. And repeat after me, “Man controls the Weather; Man Controls the Weather.”
Let the journalist tie every and any story to ‘Global Warming’, including blizzards because ‘Man Controls the Weather.’
Finally, let Al Gore (‘The Goricle’, or should that be ‘The Goron’) run around the world scaring our children, while his house uses 20X the average household in electricity “Man controls the Weather; Man Controls the Weather.”

Energy is neither created nor destroyed - study your physics some more. Since when does mankind control nature? you believe the same group of people who cannot predict the weather accurately for the week can somehow see 50 years into the future? wake up and get a life

Not the important ones. Here are a few counterexamples for you.
"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."
James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.
"The overwhelming majority of atmospheric scientists around the world and our own National Academy of Sciences are in essential agreement on the facts of global warming and the significant contribution of human activity to that trend."
Russell E. Train, Republican, former environmental official under Presidents Nixon and Ford
"We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late. The science is clear. The global warming debate is over."
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican, Governor, California
"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."
John McCain, Republican, Senator, Arizona
"These technologies will help us become better stewards of the environment - and they will help us to confront the serious challenge of global climate change."
President George Bush

no, we don't all believe that it is just an "evil plot"
as a matter of fact we worry about it as much as everyone else, but this country as a bit of a problem with over-indulgence
to get millions of people to just stop using fossil fuels is (to say the least) is crazy

No Americans beleive global warming is true. We also beleive other nations use global warming as a tool to oppose American policies and a way to hamstring American interests wordwide.
We all know its true, we also know that to change it means to change the entire structure of society.
These 'projects' people tend to propose are only treating the symptom.
Until the root of the problems is addressed...non-sustainable society, the problem will continue.
