Ten days ago, I took a total of 20mg oxycodone. Now I have to take a very specific drug test that picked up darvocet in a friend after 6 days. So is 10 to 12 days long enough to completely be gone? Is there anything I can do to assure clean blood and urine tests at this point??? I already know not to take anymore and that's done, but what to do about what's already been done!! I NEED TO CORRECT A HUGE MISTAKE SO HOW LONG?????????

Ten to twelve days is MORE than enough time for oxycodone to exit your system. It can generally be detected in the blood for up to 48 hours, and in a urine screen for up to 5 days.

You have nothing to worry about. I give you my word of experience and I am glad to hear that you recognize your mistake and have learned a valuable lesson. Oxycodone is nothing to mess around with :)

General urine tests for drugs will show for 2 weeks. Specific ones...like the military uses ....30 days. I take it you took the drug with out a prescription. If however you do have a prescription just take the prescription bottle with you so they know it was taken legally. And I have never heard of any successful ways to clean your system...just stories.

There can be traces picked up for months in your system of any pain medication. If you have a prescription for the medication they should ask you and then they will know that traces could be picked up in your system. If you took the medication without a prescription your out of luck and if they pick up traces of the drug you just have to deal with the consequences. There isn't much you can do to assure it to be out of your system.
