I wonder if such kind of things really happen? i had watched a movie where an old man (i would call him old because he looked to be 50-55 years old) falls in love (real love...not infactuation....or any other kind of emotion) who is around 12-13 years of age!!!?? can this happen?? if yes....what qualities of the little girl would have caught the man's attention???

Maybe he confused his fatherly affection for romantic/ sexual love.
Otherwise that's disturbing.... not to mention illegal.

i dont know what you were watching but no no no and on the off chance you are a 12 or 13 year old girl trying to get hints on how to get a mans attention stick with boys your own age any man that would ever think of a young girl in a romantic way is in need of mental help or the police

I think those are called pedophiles, and, I do believe it can happen.
I don't know what qualities really attract a pedophile, but I would guess it has something to do with the innocence and wanting to explore their curiosity with them.
I imagine what caught the guy's attention was the fact that the girl was not under close parental supervision, or somehow seemed available.

If any man would even think of such a sick thought, He might as well save the police the trouble and turn himself in for even thinking like this they are a sick individual who defineately need help!!! That is sick. There is no qualities a man of that age could ever see in a young child of that age. It's called mental disease, taking advantage of a child that is not a adult enough to see how perverted it would be. It is not love it's just sick.

Not unless it is the love for a child. Other than that it is sick and illegal.
A 12yo is not mature enought ot be in love, so no matter what his adult age he is a sick F'er . Even if he was only 18 instead of 55.

you must have been watching Lolita, the movie based on the book by Vladimir Nabokov..?
if it was, then the older man was attracted to girls at the age when they weren't quite children but not teenagers yet - when they were just starting to develop but maintained that childlike honesty and unabashed attitude.
in the book/movie, he actually married her mother to get close to her. after the death of her mother, he brought her around and had sex with her. sick man, but awesome book.
