Jesus gave that law to Jews in the OT, that doesn't mean that Christians now-a-days can't eat pork. Homosexuality is wrong and it's not a sin to say it is. That just shows how messed up the world is these days. Seriously now people don't even wait for marriage before going out and getting pregnant.

I do not denounce homosexuality, I do not denounce pork either for that matter.

If homosexuals wish to live life in a way they find most fullfilling all the power to them. I do not believe that God agrees with them, but I am not their judge.

Here is a question for you, why do so many Atheists I know condemn homosexuals from making out in public? Yet, some Atheists seem to promote homosexuality when trying to make a point. Is this hypocritical behavior? Why is it many of my Atheists friends seem to be very homophobic, and often refer to other people as "Gay" to insult them?

See it goes both ways for some people. Some Christians and Atheists could care less. Some Christians and Atheists are homophobic.

This is the problem with people just picking up the Bible and picking out some verses and claiming the whole thing is flawed. ...If you would actually READ the Bible, you'd see that not everything in it is meant for today's Christian (Gentiles, to Paul). When God said they couldn't eat unclean meat, he was talking to the Jews, and that was a law. But after Christ died, Paul was told to go spread not the law, but the message of God's grace, to the Gentiles. It is specifically said that the Gentiles are no longer answerable to that Mosaic code, but have just to believe, and they will be part of the kingdom of Heaven. So over 2,000 years ago when Moses was walking around, they had to follow that Jewish law, but today we don't. Read Paul's letters in the New Testament.

Christians are allowed to eat pork. It says so in the Bible. Just like it says that instead of going to church (for Christians, not Jews...they still go on Sabbath/Saturday) on Sunday instead of Saturday. And actually, Jews, UNDER CERTAIN LIMITED PROVISIONS/SITUATIONS they too are allowed to eat pork. Now, as far as Homosexuality goes, it is anatomically wrong as well as Biblically. When was the last time-when you were assembling anything...anything at all...say, an entertainment center for example's sake-the directions said, "Fit screw/nail/ elongated cylindrical-type thing to another of the exact kind. No, bolt goes to screw, long thing always goes in hole (and we do not mean the one for eating or the one supposed to be for exiting traffic only). I am sorry to put it so bluntly but really, let's not dance around at hinted at intent or innuendo-like terms. You asked for an answer, and I am assuming that you want it without any pretense. Hope it does not offend too many people. I did not write the Bible so did not make the rules: God did. Take it up with him.

the law against eating pork was there to set the Jews apart from other groups. A few of the laws on cleanliness were there to make the Jews different from every other nation. We now have the Holy Spirit to do that, so following those rules isn't necessary.

However, the moral law regarding our behavior toward one another and God still applies. God designed sex to be between a man and a woman within marriage, and anything outside of that is sinful.

First of all the old law, which Jesus fulfilled said not to eat pork. We are under a new covenant now. The old and new testaments both condemn homosexuality. Christians cant damn anyone, people damn themselves.

Pork is not forbidden in the New Testament covenant.

1 Timothy 4:4-5 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Colossions 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink ...

Regarding the eating of pork, that was a part of the "Law of Moses," the Mosaic Law. The Mosaic Law thought us that we needed to perform "sacrifices" as a symbol or reminder that the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was to come to the world and perform the ultimate sacrifice for all mankind. Jesus was to give his live to atone for all sin.

Now that Christ has come and has performed this atonement, the Mosaic Law has been fulfilled and we no longer "sacrifice" animals. Accordingly as in that law, the eating or pork and other meats no longer applies and the Law of Moses has been fulfilled.

It doesn't take a genius to understand why certain foods are denounced in our Holy Writings.
It said that eating anything without scales from the sea was
abomination! And certain fowl as well.
Because these creatures are scavengers. They eat already decomposing flesh. That cannot be healthy for the human body. Just as pigs eat anyhting! And are full of bad cholesterol. That create hardening of the arteries. Heart attacks, and strokes.
If one were to read our Holy Writings with an open mind. They would see sin is Indulging. Going to excess! Not just making common mistakes. And there are foods that compliment every other type of food, where one can enjoy the things in Life without fear of DYING!

Basic Xian doctrine has it that since Jesus came, Old Testament law that bound the Jews no longer applies. So eating pork is okay, as is eating shellfish, wearing mixed fabrics, or doing anything technically forbidden to Jews, unless it goes agains the 10 commandments or the basic guideline "love thy neighbor as thou lovest thyself".

However, the basic doctrine to "grow and multiply" is still regarded as correct, so sex acts that don't provide for reproduction are still wrong, and homosexual conduct is in that category.
