How would I calculated the wrapping angel of paper 4.125" wide and overlapping itself by .625"?

The mandrel I'm wrapping is 1.665" OD.

Some people see angels everywhere they go. While I do believe in angels, I am skeptical there is an angel in charge of wrapping. It may just be your guardian angel your seeing.

I guessing this is what you want - your question is a little fuzzy. (angel = area?)

The circumfrence is 2pi*r = 1.665*pi = 5.23075"

The area would be 4.125' * (5.23075 + 0.625) = 5.856 * 4.125 = 24.155 sq in.
