Were they kissing in church? I say yes, I'm sure you know the Bible verse. A church shouldn't condone things that are said to be wrong. What would that say about their convictions?

My first response would be yes, they go immediately, openly defiling -- and defying -- the church is grounds for removal & not to be tolerated. But that's jumping the gun, I think. Are they new Christians that don't know what the word of God says about this? Are they struggling sinners that are trying to refrain from this? Is the rest of the congregation generally aware of their condition and trying to help them? After all, everyone sins, if the church were perfect, no one would be in it. Is mentoring a better answer?

That breeds some other questions too, about coming into the church with "Satan rules" T-shirts, and whether these people would also be welcomed. I'm not talking about a care-bears attitude with conducting a place of worship in a manner that encourages disobedience, but rather a refuge for growing & cultivating one's faith. And maybe the T-shirts and the homosexuality and the disobedience will fall away and be replaced with new habits to go with the new hearts.

OK, no "Satan rules" T-shirt, that would be a bit much.

Any pastor/preacher who would do such a thing should be removed from the pulpit. The only church I know of that does(removes gay people) that is the First Assembly of God or F@G as I like to call it.The act of throwing away from the church is a bigger sin than a girl kissing a girl.

However for someone to show so much disrespect for others as to put on a display that is sure to upset everyone does justify in my opinion throwing them out.

well, it's all up to the people in charge. For religious reasons it goes against their beliefs-if this event took place in the church it should be approached with care and caution, not just plain action. As church values etc... they should try and help first before taking any action. If this event happened outside of the church, then that is for the person/s to work out for themselves and not involve the church, unless they desire to.

Did they tell you just that when they kicked you out? Just wonder how they explained it. And whatever maybe happening to a church member, I believe they should try to help first, to restore, to edify, to build up. Not to judge or condemn. I don't know what the kiss was like. It just seems like the church is more concerned with what it looks like on the outside. You know, like the whitewashed tomb... Why do you wanna go to such place after all?

I don't think anyone should be kicked out of church for sin. They should be prayed for, ministered to and lead to repentance. Jesus said He did not come to the healthy, but to those in need of a Physician. What is the purpose of the Church if not to minister to the sick and dying world in which we live?

Depends on what that Church believes. If they are opposed to such things, then, yes, a girl should be kicked out for it.

It depends on the Church.

The answer is obviously no. But it happens all too frequently. Churches anymore are so hypocritical it isn't funny. They, to use a cliche, preach but don't practice. They don't forgive like they are supposed to and they hold everything against you. That's why I quit going.
