I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt. My sympathies.
It's cool you want to support and comfort your Mom, she's lucky to have a son like you. I would suggest:
Send her flowers today so she has a visible reminder of your caring to comfort her.
Call her every day for the next several days to check in and see how she is doing.
Send her a card every week for the next month or so to let her know you're thinking about her. (you may want to share some of your favorite memories of your aunt in one or more of these.)
Don't forget that grief lasts more than two weeks... when we lose a loved one we are usually the subject of caring and concern for about two weeks. Then folks "go back to normal" and often expect us to... yet we are still grieving.
Wishing you peace...

Its always a hard time when someone loses a family member. The best thing that you can do is just be there for her. Call to see how she is doing, send a card, or some flowers to the family. Its the little things you do to comfort that really means the most.

If your family is like mine we are all close but live across the US from one another. My Mom's sister had a stroke on Halloween, Mom and Dad went to FL to be with her and help, all the rest of us could do was call and check on them, listening to her, offering our own words of encouragement and love. When they returned home Mom said just keeping in contact with us helped her get through a trying time knowing that we loved them meant so much. So many families today don't keep in contact with one another and when the calls do come it's generally on holidays when everyone is so busy. Make the calls often, even if they are kept brief, it will mean a lot to her.

a phone call, talk to her then just listen, let her know your there for her if she needs to talk.anytime day or night. just that thought goes a long way. if flowers aren't what you would like to send ask your mom if there is something else you could do or help with instead of spending the money on flowers. maybe an unforeseen expense that would be greatly appreciated. just a thought.

I would send some flowers and a sympathy card letting them know your condolences and maybe a call to the Family would be good as well. Sorry to hear about your Aunt. :(

There's really nothing you can do to comfort her even if you were there. Flowers and a heartfelt "Thinking of you" type note is a great way to show you care.

Honestly, If it were me I would do everything I could to go be with your mom. But, if you can't then call her and let her know what's going on with you that you can't make it. Make sure to send flowers for the funeral.
