Since when did dinosaurs become taboo with Christians?
I think the only thing Christians object to the the elongated view of time.
You can believe dinosaurs existed without accepting the billions and billions of years ago theory.
There is a Creation Science Museum that has a dinosaur footprint and in the middle of it is a human footprint.
As to their being mentioned in the Bible, the only two mentioned in the Bible that some think are dinosaurs are the behemoth and the leviathan. These are considered to be the elephant and the crocodile. However they could be larger versions.
For those who believe in the survival of the fittest, why did the dinosaurs become extinct and the smaller, weaker animals survive?

Look at what scientists are doing today, they are cloning animals and even working at crossing species -amalgamations.
Mankind was created perfectly and was more intelegent than we are today. I believe that before the flood, that they were amalgamating animals and that these amalgamations resulted in the dinosaurs. They were not on Noah's ark because they were not true animals and they were not created by man. We have evidence that they existed, and they were burried in the flood.

GOD KEEPS THINGS IN PLACE AND ORDER
People have got to consider that the earth was in preparation for thousands of years to last mankind for eternity, the dinosaurs bones are in the earth to speak of that time involved in preparation of the earth that was billions in time before preparation began.
The times and seasons for the plant life is what we go by.
The other time was there before and the time after Adam is given LOST to SAVED is the subject of concern.
If the average person does not understand or want to be bothered with a few thousand years, they sure are not going to give any thought to the billions of years that belong to the minds of experts in that field.

That is a popular thought, because
A. There is never any mention of Dinosaurs in the bible.
B. Because the existence of Dinosaurs shows that the earth isn't 6,000 to 8,000 years old, and that goes agaisnt the bible.
C. It was once said that the devil put Fossils in the ground to try to get less people to believe the bible.
Those are my answers.

The land dinosaurs were created on day six, there were some young animals on the Ark, and they died out in the subsequent Ice Age, from the cold and/or hunting.

I agree with you in principle. My problem with that scenario is that it is an extremely wasteful way of doing things and would expect better from an all powerful being.
I don't like the idea of Earth being God's Etch-o-sketch, that he erases every time he gets bored with the way things developed.

We can believe He created dinosaurs. They're mentioned in the Bible. Did only one person who answered above actually read the Bible?
