I don't remember it being that dark, but my doctor mentioned it yesterday and I have to decide whether to see a dermatologist about it. It's about the size of the head of a stick-pin, very small. Should I be worried enough about it to have it checked out? My doctor seemed kind of unworried about it and left it up to me.....Help!

Had it removed....biopsy results in a week. I'm feeling hopeful. Doctor said it only looked suspicious because of the color change and it's best to get it checked. Now I have stitches in my back that are itching me like crazy!

if it's turning darker you should get it checked out, or it might turn into something nasty. there's probably nothing wrong but its best to be safe. x

I just saw a dermatologist, he removed exactly what you're describing. He said the small, black and flat moles are the suspicious ones. Have it removed, take no chances. It doesn't hurt to have it removed and by the way, mine was benign

I have moles, and recently had an MRI. One that had gotten bigger over the years and is quite dark, they said in the MRI findings was a benign hemangioma. I wouldn't worry about it unless it causes you pain.

See a dermatologist and have it diagnosed and removed as soon as possible.

If it grows, get darker or itches, it may be cancerous. See your doctor.
