i want to cut my hair in a 40's/50's stlye where my hair is cut to my chin and it is permed to frame my face. I've wanted to do this style for years but i am scared because i have a wide face, do you think it will look okay???

It will look ok so long as you don't have a double chin.

I think a puffy look might be okay because with the hair being thick it might balance the wideness of your face out, so that it gives the illusion of an averagely wide face. Like, if your hair is flat it would contrast against the wideness and thereby accentuate it. It's just a theory but it sort of makes sense :)

I say go for it! Its better to find out what it looks like rather than guessing! If you have wanted this style for a long time then you shouldn't worry if it looks horrible (which I doubt) but you should go for it because i can see that you think the style is nice. Also if you don't like it then you can always grow your hair back again.

Anything that hits at your chin is going to make your face wider. That's what they do for women when they have long faces and want to even it out.
You could look for one of those places that show you what you'll look like first....see if you think it still looks good.
It's up to you how you style your hair. As long as you like it, don't worry about anyone else.

bobs are usualy used to grant shape to consumer-friendly or very skinny faces. A around face might grant you with the creation of beign obese in case you're taking great factor approximately a bob, i'm no longer powerful besides the undeniable fact that I even have not have been given any %. so i'm imagining your face type. i might desire to evade huge bangs and stick to long or semi long hair

I had the ssame question and went and cut my hair anyways. I love it my fiance loves it so does everybody else. I don't think I'll go back to long hair I want mine's eve shorter now.
I think it's just hair and it wil grow back.

It looks silly on most people, but I would think it would look better on somebody with a wide face.

IF YOU HAVE A WIDE FACE,YOU WILL BE BETTER WITH A LONGER STYLE.AS THIS WILL THIN YOUR FACE OUT.IF YOU HAVE IT CUT LEVEL WITH YOUR CHIN IT WILL MAKE YOUR FACE LOOK FATTER.
