I'm in my 2nd semester at college and i try my hardest to stay on top of my game but im beggining to lose it and my grades are slipping from A's to down the tubes. I spend a ton of time studying memorizing learning but i can't figure out y I am doing so horrible. I know I got a lot on my mind relitives have passed away a week ago, and my bf is here to help but even he is so fustrated that when i take an exam that I spent weeks preparing for it leaks and the stuff is like new to me. It seems the only class im doing well in is my law class and my argumentive rehtoric class. I cant say I really enjoy my major anymore but my parents will kil me if they see my grades like this and Id hate to think what theyll do to me if I change my major. What do I do?

You should begin another new course, plus another week-end job, and don't forget to do some volunteering, it helps; and also, you should not forget to help your parents in their chores.
I think if I was your bf, I would have left you long ago.

Relax!!!!!! No one is going to kill you, or probably even cause any physical harm to you. Your parents are your parents.... they will always love you whether you are a doctor or a ditch digger. Start living YOUR life. What do YOU want to do? Just finish the semester, do the best you can. Stop partying and buckle down. Most of all ... Relax and have fun with your classes. Life is too short. Good luck

So, you're having a bad semester....It's not the end of the world.
You've been through alot and your parents should understand and support you.
Just stick with your major, things will get better.
Also, it IS possible to over study and have your brain overloaded with info.

You sound overloaded and burned out. Go to your advisor, and tell them your problem. You may be able to drop a class to ease your burden and improve your GPA. Two part time jobs plus other commitments sounds like too much to me!
