I just saw someone post an answer that Jesus' ascending to Heaven was "figurative", in other words, He didn't really ascend, it's just a metaphor? Why would that be?

Actually, if Christ did not die and resurrect - there is no salvation for any of us.
Satan can lead you sceptics to misbelieve ,anyway the truth lies - this is the difference between believers and unbelievers. Take your choice.
The goal of unbelief is you just want to be dirt when you die - all the choices you make in your so called super intellectual superiority is naught when you die.

No, it is literal. When He was resurrected, He showed himself and the main purpose of showing himself was to show us what we had the potential of receiving. For all will be resurrected and receive a glorified body like the one He received.

It is literal- If Jesus stayed in the grave we would still be lost- He died for our sins- yes, but He rose so that we would have victory over sin and death- and those bones they found in that grave- IS NOT OUR SAVIOR JESUS- He is risen, He is no longer there.
