Here's my case against "scientists"!
In California, there is a large Crack in the Earth called the San Andreas Fault. Where they have been predicting a major quake for a long, long time.
100 miles away in Nevada. "Scientists" were detonating multi-kiliton nuclear devices "underground" for decades!
I rest my case.

If you want to blame science for the Evils of man then do not just look at the number current scientists and recent past scientists that where Atheist, but look at how science started and who they where.

Churches. Churches employed the BRIGHTest minds of there day to invent elaborate machines that would fool people into believing that said church had the blessing of God. Churches wanted desperately to have more insight into the world around them so they would appear to have divinity and thus win over more followers and there wealth. As this war for knowledge escalated and grew through competition - Science was born.

Where things better before science? My opinion is certainly not.

Actually JD, you will find there were many Christians who participated in the Manhattan project (development of the nuclear bomb). You will also discover that many Christians were instrumental in discoveries that lead to biological weapons. You will find that the ethnic cleansing that happened in Serbia was done by Christians.

You will also find that the only use of WMD's in Hiroshima and Nagasaki were ordered by God fearing Christian men.

The Internet is awesome, you will find that if you use it for research, you will find many of your beliefs about evil atheists are actually not based on reality, but on opinions of fellow Christians, give it a try.

Christians have killed more than atheists over time anyway. Proof. The % of christians vs. atheists makes the overall #s for christians much higher. Murders occur through all religions, thus your religion has killed WAY more people than atheists.

Albert Einstein was one of those scientists. I notice lots of theists like to claim that he believed in god, despite his clear statements that he did not believe in a "personal god" that one could pray to. But I expect that someone like you will try to have it both ways, and consider him atheist in the context of this question, and theist at other times when you find it convenient.
