Satan, in the form of a serpent, beguiled the female, who in turn tempted the male.
One might argue that God was ultimately rsponsible. Yet, this is a logical impossibility. God's part was due to his perfect nature, in that He could not create a being that was incapable of sinning through that being's own volition.

I would say it was 50/50 between Satan and Adam and Eve. The devil tempted them by telling them to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil which God told them Not to eat from. The Devil said it was alright to eat from it and Eve took the fruit and ate it and gave it to Adam to eat. Then God banished them from the Garden of Eden.
