She layed one egg and then another 2 days later. So, in my calculation she should have layed another yesterday. but she didn't they are incubating the eggs full time now. Are they finished or might she still lay one today...today would be 3 days since the 2nd was layed.

also, i have checked on them very frequently since she laid the eggs. Is it possible that my peeking made her stop??

This is a pair and proven for previous. It's too early to candle to see if they are fertile. but, they have mated several times and have been working the nest box for about a month now.

Well, she could very well be done or she may end up laying another egg today or even during the night when you're sleeping. It could be very likely you made her stop by "disturbing" her little process, female cockatiels can be picky like that. You never really know with a cockatiel how many eggs they're going to lay and how long it's going to take.

Are they fertilized eggs or are they just cycle eggs? If you don't know what I'm talking about then allow me to explain... Female cockatiels will always lay eggs when it's their "season", they are the only birds who do this and it's like a female cycle, very similar to a human's menstural cycle. They don't have to be fertilized for them to lay eggs. If they haven't had contact with a male cockatiel, then they aren't fertilized and you can remove them after two or three days. They will try to incubate them, fertilized or not, it's part of their nature. Older females won't always do this, though... My mother has a four/five year old cockatiel who no longer tries to incubate her eggs and will even break them on accident sometimes.

If your female is egg cycling frequently, you need to wonder why. If you're creating a breeding environment for her, she will continue to egg cycle and it can be dangerous because they can get egg binding and that can be very fatal if not handled properly. If you're covering her cage too frequently, if she has something that could be mistaken for a nesting box such as a type of hammock or anything that kind of shields them from light can be creating a breeding environment for her which is making her want to cycle. You need to remove or stop whatever is making her want to do this.

If you have more questions or simply don't understand this concept, I'd suggest speaking with a vet about it. Birds are very fragile creatures and you don't want to endanger her.

she could still lay two or three more. Keep them in a quiet place. Do not move them. Do not touch the eggs! Make sure that the area they are in is quiet and warm. Stress will cause her to stop laying and could cause her to become egg bound. Make sure they have fresh water twice a day. A fresh cuttle bone too. Also might want to check at the pet store for feed that is specifically for nesting cockatiels.

Hope this helps.

Tiels can lay on average 1 to 7 eggs. Usually they are laid every otherday. I would candle them on the 10th day you will have a better chance of seeing the beating heart then.

Birds are very good parents, they are not just going to abandon the eggs just because you look in on them.

without a male the eggs are infertile and no chicks would be born. for my area, I found out to take and postpone one egg each week. She might lay greater. each little thing would be ok. Have a great twelve months.

Congratulations for your bird and for you!
I dont think it will lay anymore eggs if it start incubating it, after it it hatch, you should play and interact with it all the time and it will be very tame and will think you as its parents.
