A true Christian is one that has truly been born of God. Once one is born of God, person is a child of the King and the inheritance of the King. No one can take that away. When one is born of God, everlasting life is in that person.

We still need to be saved from things throughout our life once born of God, by renewing our mind in the Word of God, renewed in the Spirit of God. Experience one glory to another glory. God directs our path and saves us from many things today.

Trust & obey there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, is to trust & obey.

Every true born again Christian will be convicted of a sin & need to repent. Confess your sin, and He is faithful & just to forgive you your sin & cleanse you from it.

Once saved, one is made into Christ Righteousness. When we sin we need to confess it to God, immediately at thought. Doubt is a sin. Without faith it is impossible to please God, for those who come to God, must believe God Is, and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him.

If a person is in a pre-salvation state, believe in God, but not yet confessed Jesus Christ their Lord & Savior, & believed in their heart in the Resurrection, that person isn't yet born again. That person can lose salvation that is offered. God looks at the heart, and only an honest heart before God will actually be born of God. Being on the edge is a dangerous place to be.

Some say there is unforgivness if one blasphemies the Holy Spirit. There is unforgivness when one calls the works of the Holy Spirit of the devil. Person has to recognize the Holy Spirit, and repent. Christians have done this, but got swift discipline. If one not saved does it, also goes into spiritual blindness & of an antichrist spirit, & cannot receive salvation until open heart unto the Holy Spirit & Gods love. Just quit false accusing (blasphemy) the Holy Spirit & the love of God. Also, our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, so we need to honor our own bodies. God will destroy the body if we destroy it by sinful living. But that doesn't mean person doesn't have eternal life in them. But that is the soul & spirit. A new everlasting body is promised in the future.

Your husband, if born of God, is a child of the King. Born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, joint heirs with Jesus, part of the family of God. Your husband may be a disobedient Christian, may not yet be filled with the Holy Spirit, or may be filled with the Holy Spirit before and is disobedient & low on oil in his lamp. He just needs to realize that He can just repent for whatever he did, Pray the verse in 1st John Confessing his sins to God and God is faithful & just to forgive him his sins and cleanse him from them. It is a promise for the Christian. Then he may have to forgive others like Christ forgave him his sins and threw them far from him. Forgivness is a must. To trust & obey Jesus is a must.

Jesus was my first love when I was a child, but I left Jesus when I married & moves from my home town. After 10 yrs I repented after a drunken blackout. I went into a 1 yr breakdown. Where I found out I had idols in my life, & had much wrong thinking about God. I recommitted after the 1 yr and was also healed. It wasn't easy to find the Truth, but I returned to my first love. Now, I know if I did the same thing, God probably would take me to heaven early. I am glad I didn't die in my 1 yr breakdown.

Who is he who overcomes, he who is born of God. What is our victory, our faith. 1-3 John

You can not lose your salvation. But you can leave it. Look at Revelation 2:4, it talks about people who have left their first love. Just as a person can choose to become a Christian, so they can choose to walk away from it. They do not "lose" their salvation because of sin, but rather they leave it. Often it is quietly, one step and one decision at a time. But there can come a time when that person makes a decision to no longer believe.

Be often it is just that the person has grown cold. They just need someone to bring a little "fire" for God back into their life.

If you are considered about this friend, you need to add him to your prayers. Ask God for an opportunity to talk to him, and for God send laborers across his path. When the opening does come, be ready to restore that person in meekness and love.

He (and you) will be in my prayers toady....

I believe that once a person exercises saving faith in Jesus Christ, he or she is forever in the family of God. God never kicks anyone our of his forever family. A number of Scripture passages support this view. For example, in 1 Corinthians 12:13 we are told that at the moment of salvation the Holy Spirit places us in the body of Christ. Once we are infused into the body of Christ, we are never excised from the body. In fact, Ephesians 1:12 and 4:30 indicate that at the moment of believing in Jesus Christ for salvation, we are permanently "sealed" by the Holy Spirit. At that point, we are God's everlasting property. That seal guarantees that we'll make it to heaven.
Moreover, we read in John 10:28-30 that it is the Father's purpose to keep us secure despite anything that might happen once we have trusted in Christ. Nothing can snatch us out of His hands. God's plans cannot be thwarted (Isaiah 14:24). Further, Romans 8:29-30 portrays an unbroken chain that spans from the predestination of believers to their glorification in heaven.
Another fact we need to keep in mind is that Christ regularly prays for each Christian (Hewbews 7:25). With Jesus interceding for us, we are sucure. (His prayers are always answered!)
Of course, the fact that a believer is secure in his salvation does not mean he is free to sin. If the Christian sins and remains in that sin, Scripture says that God will discipline him or her just as a father disciplines his children (see Hebrews 12:7-11).

If you have been saved then no, you cannot lose your salvation.

Hebrews 13:5 reads "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. So we say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.'"

Genesis 28:15 reads "I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

Deuteronomy 31:6, 8 reads "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

Joshua 1:5 reads "No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you."

1 Chronicles 28: 20 reads "David also said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished."

Psalm 37: 24 reads "...though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand."

Jesus said: 'Prove yourself faithful even to death, and I will give you the crown of life.' Rev.2:10,11...'He that conquers/overcomes will by no means be harmed by the second death.'

So the question is, How do I conquer/overcome and be faithful?

There is no eternal life for the unfaithful and those who do not conquer/overcome evil.

the answer is YES, one can lose a faithful state.

We cannot use Judas as an example of one who repented, although he had knowledge of the truth and an eye witness account of Jesus miracles. We do not know if Judas went through a repentant time, and then resorted back to thievery. or he did not repent.

According to the Bible, one needs knowledge of the truth, then if that one does not repent, he cannot be saved. Hebrews 10:26. Verse 29 shows they are guilty of valuing the blood of Jesus as ordinary.

The Word says there will be a "falling away" before The Christ
returns. Thessalonians I believe. Because they think they will not have to suffer at all.
And when the suffering starts. And The False Prophet does wonders before their eyes. And mocks God for not showing Himself. Many will fall away from the Faith.

It is by faith we say we are new creatures. We have not literally died and been born again. If by faith I am made new than i need to continue in a real relationship with God through prayer and in his word and meditation. If I don't stay in a relationship with God my faith becomes weaker and I lose sight of God and I fall away even to the point where I know longer believe.By faith I continue my relationship with God. He who endures to the end will be literally saved but we have a promise that what God has began he will complete. If we continue in faith our relationship grows as does our faith and we who love the truth will continue in it and a true relationship with a living loving God.

Depends on religions. The Baptist say you can not. And if you do then you were never really saved. I say you can because you read about backsliding in the Bible. And I have been there myself. Im back in communion with the Lord and it has never been better. Pray about it thats the best we can do. Amen. Peace out............

Yep, you can lose it. There is no such thing as once saved, always saved. St. Paul said "I work out my salvation daily, with fear and trembling".. He also said to pray unceasingly. Why do that if your already saved?

You cannot lose your salvation once you receive it. However, the Bible clearly teaches that we do not receive salvation until our earthly lives are over. "He who endures to the end, he SHALL be saved".
