I just want some suggestions on things to look out for and avoid. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

No i don't want to breed them..I actually want the MALE maltese as a playmate. I went to purchase the yorkiepoo thinking it was full yorkie, but fell in love with the little guy with such a great personality but horrible living conditions..i had to take him regardless of the fact of why he was bred. I bought him because he was cute friendly and not looked after at all. The maltese I'm getting is a ten month old male.

I think its best to throw the yorkie poo away. It could be diseased.

lol@epbr123.. now that is the silliest answer. Depend on why you want this Maltese for. If you are planning on breeding these two dogs. That is something that should never happen. I really think this is what you have planned so I will keep my tip to myself and hope that you don't intend to breed these two dogs. People have to stop doing that. It saddens me that this happens, but it will never stop until people stop buying them.. In my days they were called mutts.. now they put a high price on them and call them designer dogs..*sighs*
