What is sophisticated about it? Please explain your statement.
I feel that the idea of the scapegoat is very simplistic as are many of their other rituals.
Kosher is not very sophisticated as it cause unnecessary suffering to the animals. The animals actually bleed to death. What is sophisticated about a religion that bans shrimp?????? What is sophisticated about a religion which does not allow the intermingling of meat and milk to the extent of having to have two separate sets of dishes to store them? What is sophisticated about their beliefs that if you buy utensils from a non-Jew it has to be purified?
A lot of persecution has happened because they set themselves apart and treat others as inferior. They believe the Goyim will be their slaves. Slavery is a very sophisticated idea, is it not? Get real, Judaism is an archaic religion that belongs in the dark ages.

The religion itself is idiotic, but Jews I know are among the most progressive thinkers out there, that actively question the truth and don't just accept it because someone told them to. This has to do with the Jewish culture and not with the religion per se.

I think Scientology my claim to be more Sophisticated as it deals with aliens and other beings, not even considered by Judaism.

If u mean by sophisticated the one who encourages to its followers to have the best manners and to study the most they can about God´s creation, then I would say islam is.
