Yes. Basically, if they are his kittens he may want to kill them, and if they aren't then he may also want to kill them. It is kind of a no win situation.
Also, the mother can be very very distressed if a male cat is too close to her litter and may attack.
It is advisable to seperate them as long as the kittens are still very vulnerable (ie. still blind) and to only allow supervised interaction until you are confident that no fights will occur.
It is a lot of hard work, but definatly worth it.

Most definitely yes. Male cats have been known to kill very young kittens, even their own. They do not have that bond like the Mother cats do. I'm not sure of the right age to introduce them, but I would wait at least 4 or 6 weeks. We let our male cats around the kittens we adopted when they were 3-4 weeks old and there wasn't a problem. I just watched them very carefully, never leaving them alone. It is always best to ask your vet though!

Watch him and see how he acts when they are born.
At first mum won't want him near them which is normal.
When she does allow him near see how he reacts,if he seems friendly then all is fine if he tries to bite one of them then keep him away.
Most male cats are ok with kittens if they know the mother well (especially if they are the father)Some will even help with grooming the kittens and so on.

Yes apparently you should as the dad is likely to attack them but have saying that the person i got my kitten from had the dad with the kittens and he was as good as gold with them. I suppose it depends on what the male cat is like. If he is vicious or a wild cat i suggest it would be a good idea to keep them separated. Hope this helps.

If the male and female are friendly, it's all right. He will protect his own and the mother will not allow him to harm the kittens. My males would let the kittens nurse on him when the mama took a break. If you have any doubts, just keep the father away until you are sure.

yes you should! The male cat can kill the kittens. Seperate them just to be on the safe side. All the kittens from the litter can each have a different dad. If your cat is a house cat then I guess you can let him next to them but make sure to keep an eye on them.
~I hope this helps!

Momma cats are known to move their babies and hide them from the Daddy's so that they will not harm them. Now with that said, our male cat kept his distance and watched the kittens but never tried to harm them and the Momma cat never tried to move them away from him. She did run him off a couple of times. As the kittens started walking, the male cat would play with them while momma napped. Good luck! Kittens are fun.

Yes. Male cats have been known to eat the babies. I wouldn't take the chance until the kittens are a few weeks old.

Male cats can kill kittens and unless you were there to supervise at all times, I wouldn't risk it. The urge to kill kittens is natural and th mother will try and defend them and could end up fighting and distressed.
If he is a soppy boy, he may be fine, but personally I wouldn't risk it.

No, usually the 'daddy' likes taking care of the kittens as well as the 'mum'. He will lick them from time to time, and likes to be in control!
