There's no proof that a god was responsible for any holy books and there have never been any scientifically confirmed miracles. There is no scientific data to suggest that there is any such thing as a soul, or that we go anywhere when we die. The logical course is to act on the premise that nothing happens, until there is evidence to the contrary.
Most likely, after we die, it will be the same as it was before we were born. Since our species evolved, some people have had a problem with that likelyhood, so they started inventing stories that made them feel better about it.

Look, there are hundreds of different religions, thousands of different gods and they're all equally fictional.
In the first place, any kind of creator god is a logical impossibility - Any intelligent entity can only have one of two possible origins: An unthinking natural process (evolution) or creation by an antecedent intelligence. Since a creator god must, by definition, have neither of these origins, such a thing cannot exist.
In the second place, every aspect of a human's character and personality is provably a function of the physical brain, so when the brain dies, the person ceases to exist. It's simple biology. An 'afterlife' is therefore just an invention of the human imagination.
Hope this helps...

Humans have been inventing stories and convincing others since we become conscious entities. There have been many proven false prophets and I think they were all false, although some may have been very well intended and there may be positive aspects of what they preached. There is absolutely no proof however, of some pretty far out claims that run entirely counter to our everyday observances and facts as we know them. I just really don't believe in what you do. I has nothing to do with wishing. A kind, loving God is inconsistent with your view of hellfire. What sort of real all powerful deity would be so petty and obsessed with people worshiping them. I wouldn't treat people like that and I am just a flawed human being. If your God is real then it is not a just God to me and I would choose not to worship anyway. I don't think it is real though. There are also other religions out there that don't have a view of hell such as this. What about their proofs and prophets?

There's plenty of "prophets" in cities even now. They stand unwashed on streetcorners with signs, shouting about the apocalypse to come. Usually, schizophrenics who are off their medications. Would you listen to some random person who thought they were a prophet nowadays? So why would you listen to the writings of the mentally ill from a a couple thousand years ago? What makes you so sure and arrogant that your WISH in the afterlife is correct?
ps I don't wish for nothing to happen to me when I die. I don't really WANT to be wormfood. If I were going to wish it would be for paradise for eternity. But wishing doesn't make something real.

"God has sent many prophets' or raving madmen
"and holybooks" or backwards ignorant misogynist bigoted writings on sheepskin, many of them contradicting each other.
"miracles warning people" or completely unsubstantiated miracles, and where are the miracles today? See any sea split lately?
"from this Hell fire" - I'm no believer but I thought Hell was satan's domain.
The rest of your rant can be discounted.

In one hand those "prophets" never agree and in the other most of them are insane.
What makes me want to believe those people? Seriously?
By the way I can find quotes from prophets saying death is final.

I certainly don't "believe" I will burn in hell after I die for not believing as you do.
As far as I know there has been no one to comeback from the dead to describe where they "went" or "what" became of them.
Threats of eternal hellfire and damnation are a religious fanatic's desperate attempt to convert people to their way of belief when gentle persuasion doesn't do the trick.

Hate to break it to you but I don't believe in your idea of an omnipotent creator being and I know what's going to happen after death... based on the teachings of the Buddha. Careful there with your projections of "arrogance".

Many of us are not sure. I sure am not.
What makes you so "sure and arrogant" that you know exactly what will happen after death? Have you ever met anyone that has told you what it's like? (Reading fairy tales like the Bible does not count)
