Some people starting answering with an explanation of Darwinian evolution,

the regulars - the heart and soul of this category, all read the details and discussed what was being asked, the Drinking Game.

At what point did you become a regular to this section, and understand the nuances of this section, who the other regulars were, what their religions are, and that with some of us you have to read the details?

For me, it was March of 2006, when I started emailing with some of the other regulars, and took my place, as Mayor Jim Darwin.

Jim, hunny,

You'll have to tell me what you mean by a "regular". Posting every day? Emailing other folks off list? Getting your first fundie-sent hate email? Answering a certain percentage of the questions asked within a given time-frame?

*scratches head*

My hubby got me started on Y!A and this section late October of last year. I tend to answer at least a few questions every day, although I don't do that when I'm on vacation or otherwise occupied. I don't know if that qualifies me as a "regular".

As for the rest, I didn't see or answer the original "drinking game" question.

And I don't remember who many of the folks were who were here when I started up - I'm not all that good at remembering specific avatars and such. I do remember Pangel, because she sent me a loving and supportive email early on, and Mav.

~sigh~ I guess I don't make the cut, eh?

I looked at this site then, thought 'nah' and moved on with my life.
Then, for some reason I stumbled across the R&S section some 6 months ago and I've qualified as a regular ever since. I think.

I must have missed the election, Jim darling. (I still don't know why I feel compelled to call you that. Must be a Peter Pan reference...lol)

It took me bit, but not too long of a bit to get who the "regulars" are and who has a sense of humor about all of this. The fun stuff is in the details. It never ceases to amaze me that people really don't read the question. But to be fair, I've caught myself being dense a few times as well.

I haven't been here all that long, but I miss you guys when I'm gone for 2 or days. And I dream about answers....

Is that a bad sign?

I'm still pretty new here, but I love this section. I have been able to see, or figure out what other people religions are, and I've gotten a good understanding as to why some of them chose the religion that they are.

I started playing here at the beginning of the month, and I'm learning. I do get frustrated will silly posters, like "the what do I do retard." I also get tired of the bashing that goes on too. But all and all, the other categories just do not hold my attention.

I just recently got the internet, and this is the only place I go. I love the ideas and of couse all the bickering! lol. I am very open, honest and full of opinions, so it is great place for me to be. I enjoy it all here, and hope one day to become a "regular" too! lol
Have a great day! :)

Gosh, March of '06, I can't believe it's been almost a year...

I felt like a regular after a week long fight with a certain religious weirdo...=0)

Yes - I'm an irregular for the last few months since I discovered this place.

A nice place to ask real questions, and be goofy too. Most of all another mini-obsession for me to devote precious time to.

I started coming here in Oct 06. I didn't consider myself "part" of things until I started emailing Godzilla and then getting to know some of the others.

hm, I didn't even show up here until november/december 2006, so for me, it probably was January of 2007 before I understood the nuances of the R&S section.
