Could this be true of Gensis Chapter 19 verse 31 - 36. The chapter reads "One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children—as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let's get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father."
33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and slept with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I slept with my father. Let's get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him so we can preserve our family line through our father." 35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
36 So both of Lot's daughters became pregnant by their father." NIV

yes. what part of rebuking, correcting, and teaching has you confused?
How can you actually learn something if you expect the lessons to be always wrapped in nice little packages with sparkly bows on them.
The easiest way to learn is from the mistakes of others. the hardest way is from your own mistakes, and the worst way is actually not learning at all.
That was a warning. Look at what happened to the descendants of that bad decision.

All Scripture is God-breathed

This only holds true if you have the ability to read the unmolested text in its' original form.

The Bible my 87 year old grandmother has on the side of her bed(printed in the 30's) reads differently than the Bible I have on my shelf(printed in the 90's).

I would recommend Jonathan Kirsch's book "The Harlot by the side of the road" for a thorough analysis of this story and the other stories they skip over in Sunday school.

BTW Lot was so drunk he couldn't recognize his daughter but could still perform? Two nights in a row? Wow.

No , not exactly. Scriptures are "breathed" by middle eastern bronze age goat herders telling each other stories at nigh around the camp fire. Some of the stories are kinky.

All Scripture is man-breathed and is not useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting & training in righteousness.

A fine example of morality from the Bible. And remember it is God inspired!

This was a accurate portrayal of a actual event. Please notice NO Where does God Bless this act.

We can use it to rebuke/train others to avoid doing stupid things in desperate times.

It's all true....and useful for us even today - so that we might learn from both the successes and failures of past generations, and realize the profound revelations of Scripture.
