IF one of my dogs bit someone, that person was in my yard where he shouldn't have been. I had signs up on all my fences and gates cause I did have a couple of trained Police Dogs. My yard and property was inspected cause of their training and everything was secure.
One of my dogs did bite someone a few years back. A man had come to pick up his mothers dog and he entered a gate that said DO NOT ENTER. It was the wrong gate and he entered even when told not to. He got a pretty good bite on his leg and reported me to the police and animal control. The Police came out and Animal Control came out. My yard and shop was inspected and Animal Control said it was the mans fault and my dog did what she was trained to do.
The man tried to close down my business of Pet Grooming and file a law suit but he had no grounds and nothing was done, except that they went ahead and did the inspection of my shop even thought it was 3 months early. I passed with flying colors.
It depends on the situation.

That would depend on the person, the reason and the extent of damage.
A dog I used to have was overprotective and he bit my husband's ex-wife when she came down the path, that would NOT have happened if my stepson hadn't shouted RUN and she had just walked to the door. He Bit her in the a55 and apparently it made a big bruise but didn't break the skin. She laughed about it later and said it was her own fault for running.

It would depend on the laws in your area. Generally the dog would have to be quarantined for a period of time (determined by your area) and what kind of damage the dog did. If the dog mauled someone, regardless of fault, I would put it down immediately.

If you live in Texas Yes you get fined and your dog would get to go to jail (quarantine) for 10 days plus medical bills for the person who got bit.

did it bite someone while they were walking or were they petting your dog and received the bite ? it depends on how the bite happened . It might be the persons fault or it could be that the dog was just being mean and wanted to bite . you know your dog and it will be determined how the bite occured . good luck to you .

It just depends on the situation. Consult a lawyer if you are really concerned. Or call the police department or a animal shelter they may be able to give you some advice. Just don't use names so you can protect the Innocent.

You might get a fine ( if the person was a jerk ).
You also might just have to take your dog for a check up.
If the person was bleeding probably a fine ( again if slightly jerk ).
The major thing is to make sure they don't have rabies!

It depends on where you live and what the laws are in your state and town. Where the incident hap pend? If you were on your property? Was the dog provoked? Did you report the incident?
You really need to speak to someone in your town.
