We brag about it because it is the truth.

We dont like when things come out like the Da Vinci Code pretending to rewrite who Jesus was.

We already know we are right by the proof God has given us, therefore any evidence that we are wrong is merely wishful thinking on the part of unbelievers. The Bible has been slammed over and over with atheists trying to disprove it based on archeology yet everytime virtually a shovel hits the dirt over there, it disproves them and proves the Bible correct. For a time they were saying the Jericho was fake and never existed and they ended up finding it!

People do make a fuss when their religion is under attack. Look at the Muslims when the Danish cartoon came out mocking Muhammad! Muslims went crazy worldwide and started riots and even killed people. Im sorry you were saying something about other religions not caring when theyre under attack?

There is going to be no end to our religion because God is eternal. There is only going to be an end to this world as well as unbelievers.

Christians are properly annoyed when a work of fiction is portrayed as true history. It is an attack on Christianity. The problem is that it is promoted in such a way that some people think that it is real.

When you consider that Christians have a mission to spread the message of Christianity, you should be able to understand the displeasure.

There were many movies made in Germany during the Nazi regime which depicted Jews in an unflattering manner. Movies like the DaVinci Code are much more subtle, but it is clear where we are headed.

How are Christians portrayed in movies, and on television? They are invariably shown as greedy, fanatical, hypocritical, intolerant and dangerous. This is in sharp distinction to the image of Christianity fifty years ago. For Christians to remain silent, is to encourage even more negative portrayals.

I'm Christian and I never made a fuss about the Davinci Code. I've both read the book and seen the movie. The book was pretty good and the movie was ok (could have done with a little fixing)

I never make a fuss about anything regarding Christianity, I have faith in God but sometimes I question a few things regarding Christianity.

Some act out of fear or believe that God needs a hand (like Silas in the DaVinci Code).

I am a Christian, and a pastor. Usually these things prove to be good for discussion and a good way to get Christians off of their "blessed assurance" and challenge them to be sharp in their beliefs.

many people do fuss, but to make sweeping generalizations like that is not smart.
There are some Christians that run around like their heads are chopped off. The get bent over the silliest things (like books, movies, unproven stories) because they do not take two seconds to actually think clearly.
The Bible mentions them numerous times "tossed bout like the waves of the ocean" "houses built on shifting sands" and "many will come to me in that day and say Lord, Lord, and I will say, depart I never knew you."
There is a difference in those people and those that stand strong because their strength is in Christ, not in what other people are doing or saying.

After reading the various posts in response to your questions, I'm reminded of the saying, "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." Christians stood up for their belief in God, trust in His Word, and for truth vs. fiction. Are we afraid to be proved wrong? No - God tells us to test Him. Are we fearing the end of our religion? Well, after 2000 years, people worldwide are still discussing, following, loving/hating, believing, and being saved in the name Jesus Christ.

Scared? No.

The problem is, most liberals want people to accept their fiction as factual.

So many people actually thought the daVinci code was real.

Just foolish people freaking out not realizing the book and movie were fiction which is stated clearly on Dan Browns book website. I read the book and wasn't worried. I found it interesting.

People generally don't like to hear something that challenges what they desperately want to believe. Many women will ignore plenty of evidence that their husbands are cheating on them. Many religious people will ignore all evidence that challenges their beliefs.

Christians are called to expose the darkness not just ignore it.

I would bet you my bottom dollar if Christian would do that to themselves first, the Christian, would have a bigger impact on the world!!!

THAT IS OUR SHAME!!
