There are so many hair removal methods but each one has their own side effects. Creams generally only remove surface hair which means that hair keeps growing back too quickly. Laser & Electrolysis claim permanent hair removal but this is still doubtful as people have found that they need to go back for more treatments a few years down the line, but not only that they cost a fortune and because they use electricity some scarring may occur. The only two methods which pull hair from the roots and hence slow down regrowth are waxing and threading. Waxing in itself, is quite painful and can also cause rashes. Threading on the other hand is less painful but that too can cause spots and rashes. With this method you need to find someone to do it for you which may prove to be more difficult depending on where you live. I used to thread my face after only having tried waxing couple of times and it was good except the spots which remained for a week on my face. Now I have found a gadget that does the same job only it's much less painful, I can do it myself at home and I don't get the spots anymore. I will be lost without it. It's called eze-tweeze. This method should, depending on your hair growth, keep your face hairless for 4-6 weeks and because the hair is being pulled from the root, the new hairs will be finer. You could also use some of the new hair growth minimiser creams afterwards to slow the hair growth further, whether they work or not I can not be sure. I hope this helps and you soon get rid of those hairs.

I know how you feel.
I had been there not at 37 but at 15 years more. I wish I never intervene in the first place.
I used facial hair cream remover. It was OK for awhile until the re-growth.
I moved on to waxing. This seemed to have slowed down the regrowth however, the hair seemed thicker that it was quite noticeable.
I decided to go to a salon for consultation. Electrolysis was the right treatment for me.
Search for a salon in your area that offers this treatment.
Book yourself a consultation.
Your consultant will be able to advise you on the type of treatment that is best suited to you.
I have to tell you that Electrolysis does not completely eradicate the hair in 1 treatment.
A series of treatments will be required to completely disable the hair follicles preventing regrowth.
As a guideline, I pay £12.00 for 15 minute session at an interval of 6 weeks increasing to 8 weekly.
No more embarrassing facial hair.
It is permanent but you need to be patient.
I hope you find the solution that is best for you.
Good Luck!

We do a lot of facial waxing in my salon for women in your particular situation. This is a very common issue. Personally, I feel waxing is the best hair removal option. It pulls the hair out by the root, giving you results that last much longer. Not to mention, over time the hair actually grows back much finer. Give it a try.

Hi Aggie,
I know exactly what you mean! Everytime I take a look, it seems the times I need to remove the hair more frequently! It's terrible. I'm like 27, and really, i dun know how to deal with it. What do you think of permanent hair removal?

I would go to your beauty salon and have your chin waxed. you will then only need to have this done every 6 weeks.

You may want to have your hormone levels checked by your Dr.
Just a suggestion, but if they are out of whack then the doc would be able to help and that may fix the problem.

Laser hair removal if you can afford it. Otherwise, get it waxed every few months.
