I can't honestly answer this question: but I can agree with you. It's terrible, but it does happen frequently. But how would anyone be able to prove that she did it without the father knowing? It would come down to his word over hers. This too opens up another subject though. If you do not want children, you should not be having sex. And if you do have sex, you both should use protection. And if the man doesn't trust the woman, or if he wonders if she's really on birth control, well...he just shouldn't be sleeping with her. Then again, maybe he did trust her at the time? Either way, it is unfair to men, when a woman traps him into being a parent. Since it is purely the woman's choice to carry the pregnancy to term or terminate it, it should also be the father's choice of whether or not to be part of the childs life. If, before the child is born, the father does not want to be a father, he should have the right to have his parental rights and responsibilities terminated. If this were the case, it is likely that there would be less single mothers, and less children born into single parent households. I accidentally got pregnant a number of years ago. The father of the baby did not want to be a father (again). His reasons seemed selfish to me. He already had 2 kids from two different marriages and he was 40. I offered to dissolve his parental obligations, but when I went to court, the only way that could happen was to either have another man willing to adopt, or list the father as unknown. At the time, I could not list him as unknown, because I would have needed state assistance for medical and food. In the end, I ended up terminating. But I myself, could not live with myself if I had forced him to be a father when he didn't want to be.

Some women are evil not all of them. But that goes to show you that men should really start keeping themselves "safe" from these women. They should always carry their own condoms (making sure the package isn't broken, scratched etc.). Don't take the woman's word that she is on birth control or can't have children. After using the condom a man should be the one disposing it in the garbage.(By rinsing the condom and wrapping it up in tissue before discarding it). I think anyone trying to deceit someone for the purpose of just doing so is disgusting. Some women think that if they have a child from a particular man he will stay with them. Which is down right stupid.

The reason is not illegal is because if you engaged in premarital sex those are the things you have to deal with.
Find yourself a trustworthy female and you will be safe. I know two girls who do the "trapping" thing its digusting and immoral and guess what they both have a few kids and all to different dads and not one of the dads is in the picture, So who suffers?
Keep in mind there are some men out there that sabotage condoms also to impregnate a girlfriend "trapping" her also. The street works two ways.
Its a sad society when people play games like this with each other and the end result is a child who suffers.

It's a last ditch desperate way to get the man to marry them. I had a friend that did this. She lied and told her bf that she was on the pill and got pregnant. My kid brother also fell for the "it's ok, I'm on the pill" thing and got a girl pregnant too, even though I've told him over and over to ALWAYS wear a condom no matter what the girl says.
I don't think of it as fraud because a man is just as responsible as the woman. If my friends bf (now husband) had used a condom, odds are this never would have happened.
And before I get lambasted for being sexist, I'm a woman.

Because they are crazy. Some women will do anything to get or keep a man. They do not stop to think of how this will affect the child they end up having, they only think of themselves. Sad as it is, it does happen.

I can't answer your stated question, but I can offer the logic behind keeping the father on the hook.
The duty is owed to the child, not to the mother. As a matter of policy, if your DNA winds up in someone's poonani...you're the legal as well as biological father.

Don't sleep with women like that. Always wear a condom. If a girl does give a line like that, then run the other way. I think guys want to get the girl pregnant when women say things like that.

Not all women do this. I have no idea why they would want to. Knowing the father will not be there to help raise the child... I couldn't do it. They may think a baby will help the relationship she has with the man grow... i really don't know.

First of all you make it sound like all women do this, They do NOT. Second, SOME men do this to women too with some of the same lies. I suppose that you forgot to buy protection and now you want to blame all women for you error. Grow up.
