It could be measles, German measles, roseola, Fifth disease, scarlet fever allergy to some medication. Even after the shot, it is possible to get modified measles. This is a milder illness and the rash starts from the body instead of from the face.

If she is up to date on her shots then it is most likely not the measles. Just wondering but why do you have to wait 2 hours to see a doc? Isn't there an urgent care or ER you can take her to? She should be seen by the doc especially if she has been sick for 2 weeks. Take her in now and get this checked out. Why wait 2 hours?

Unfortunately, it is possible to get measles even with the vaccination: If someone doesn't have the vaccine, and then contracts it, they can pass it on. This doesn't happen often thankfully.
However I would say that since she has had symptoms for a couple of weeks that it is unlikely to be measles. I do recommend taking her to see a doctor because I get the impression that she is quite young, and long periods of illness like this can be indicative of a more serious infection.

If her shots are up to date then it is not measles. Are you sure it isn't chicken pox? Try pressing on the rash; if it disappears quickly when you lift your finger then it is probably just a symptom of her fever. If it "sticks" then it is some sort of genuine rash and you can ask the doctor in 2 hours. My daughter's pediatrician taught me that. Feel better soon.
Edit: Is it tick season where you are? Could she have been bitten? Make as many notes as you can think of and have them ready when you talk to the doctor.

I don't know how old your daughter is but I had 5 kids and they all got something that was called baby measels. They were all under 1 at the time. Sounds the same as what you are suggesting they all had fever too. Sometimes children get a rash caused by the fever as well. Give her alot of fluid and a nice luke warm bath.

it sounds like roseola to me. it causes a rash after a fever. but yea just see the dr today, you never know. i highly doubt she has measles, if she is current with shots.

I had them as a child. I said they were the "strawberry ice-creams" because that's what it looked like to me. Are they small and everywhere or larger? Could be chicken pox. I don't remember having cold symptoms before the break out.
