Pakistan has a very professional military and they have been a nuclear power for quite a long time. Iran has a huge military but they couldn't defeat Iraq under Saddam. What does that tell you?

Overall it's Iran. Pakistan has nukes but they're only of
limited use since their delivery systems are pretty bad.
The equipment is mostly dated and in poor condition.
Iran has rather modern equipment and the troops are
well trained. Pakistan is a military dictatorship. But it
likely would be an Islamic republic otherwise. Since
most other states in the middle east are either kingdoms
or some other form of dictatorship or not overly Islamic
that leaves Iran as the only Islamic republic. Although it's
a bit more difficult since Iran isn't really democratic in a
western sense of the word. Kinda like a democracy with a
not elected group having the final word on certain issues.

Pakistan, has the better military, they actually do have nukes, a good sized airforce and a very professionally trained standing army. that said, Iran is no slouch and with a defensive pact with Russia, they have considerable military and nuclear backing, hence they have no need to develop nuclear weapons themselves. They are developing nuclear power for generating electricity, not weapons. Not my opinion, but the opinion of the IAEA. They have found NOTHING to show that Iran are developing nuclear weapons.
No they are not the most Islamic republics. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Afghanistan are far more extreme.

Pakistan their military is descended from the old Indian army and still retains traditions and discipline from the days of British rule.Iran showed their mettle or lack of it against Iraq ,they were useless which is what happens when you kill all your officers in an Islamic revolution.A lot of republics are Islamic do mean most fudamentalist? if so than yes they are both contenders.
I bet the king of Saudi Arabia doesnt know his country is a republic as someone else stated.

At the end of the day, Pakistan with it's nuclear power should be the greatest. The question should be, "why was Pakistan allowed to develope the nuclear bomb and why is america trying to stop Iran" Oooops, I slipped on the oil!

If you mean fighting capability, Pakistan. If you mean quality of total armaments, Pakistan. If you mean ability to fight, Pakistan. If you mean disciplined army, Pakistan.
As for the most Islamic, probably Iran though both countries would, I suspect, wave like a bamboo shoot if they were left to a genuine free vote and not controlled by idealists.

Neither. They both have primitive militaries. However, if I had to pick I would say, Iran.
