Human wants are endless. hence unless otherwise we stop the population increase, we cant stop the deforestation.
strict legislation for forest protection is needed
conversion of forest lands to nonforestry purposes should be prevented.
wherever possible we can go for afforestation programmes to meet the human demand from nonforest lands.

besides all edugation for all needed. because without giving proper knowledge about the value of forest to all common populace, it is impossible to arrest all illwgal theft from forest.

if all these happens in our earth, on that day, there will be no further deforestation occurs.

next to impossible

expanding populations and expanding farming ,that has to keep pace with the expanding populations are very strong forces that encroach upon the rainforest's
clearing them for farming and settlement areas .

In Mexico is a famous jungle that the Media has been trying to save for years
the Naturists ,and the government ,keep watch .laws are made for protection the wild and to forbid logging.
TV put out a series of documentaries
there are campaigns in the News papers
and all of this has not made the slightest difference

Rainforest's always are in third world countries and always in third world countries corruption and the need for money s highest

the jungle gets smaller by the day
more and more farmers move in .and burn the trees
it is an impossible situation
as long as there is poverty in these regions the destruction will continue

Sustained educative campaign, covering ALL children especially, and the loggers, and the politicians, to try to achieve a mindshift because attitudes and mental blocks are the most important barriers. Then, forestry products that entail cutting down whole trees must be banned and alternative products promoted. Sounds difficult .....but then, there are no easy options to the most important problems...they have to be countered head-on.

Provide economic incentives for sustainable logging.
The direction that the US has gone in is for the federal government to purchase more land and establish more parks and national forests. Then they sell the trees to logging companies who replant.

As long as people have children that must be fed and no education they will cut down trees in order to build homes and plant crops because that is what people have always done... Education and birth control are the main paths to stopping deforestration...

When you see anybody cutting a tree stop him/her. Plant more trees on your own in whatever areas possible. Oppose anything that involves cutting big trees.
