insist on denying the fact that there is NO link between any sort of "Global Warming" and mankind, whatsoever? And why, when your poster boy for Global Warming hysteria, Al Gore is caught being an energy user beyond what any normal American could ever be, do you defend him? Why are you so willing to sell your rights down the river to poor science and hokey documentaries?

Because Al ('I invented the Internet') Gore and his pack of sycophants have managed to make it very 'shiek' and 'PC' to go after 'Global Warming'. He's to dangerous to just laugh at, and too much of a buffoon to be taken seriously. Maybe polishing the Oscar he got for his Sci-Fi masterpiece will give him a good excuse to stay home. But I doubt it.

As for the 'sheeple'? They're just the same morons that they've always been and always will be.

Al Gore would be the poster boy for anything that keeps his name in the public conscience. The so called facts in the "documentary" are from reputable scientists but are carefully gleaned to back only one side of the argument. Any true documentary will state a theory and provide evidence on both sides of the argument. Statistics are funny that way you can find one to back almost any statement.

The fact is nobody today was has been alive long enough to prove or disprove that the global warming phenomenon isn't just a extremely long cyclical climate change that could have occurred many times before.

That said while I agree there is no solid link between global warming and the burning of fossil fuels but there is also a lack of evidence that it doesn't have an effect and what could it hurt trying to preserve natural resources.

Al Gore is not the issue. He's just an actor.

He's just reporting the scientific conclusions of 99+% of all scientists. It's backed by enormous amounts of data. See:

http://scrippsco2.ucsd.edu/graphics_gallery/mauna_loa_record/mlo_record.html

for a few examples of the scientific consensus and the underlying data.

Which is why these people, surely not Al Gore fans, and also not environmental whackos, agree that it's a real and serious problem caused by us.

"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."

James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

"The overwhelming majority of atmospheric scientists around the world and our own National Academy of Sciences are in essential agreement on the facts of global warming and the significant contribution of human activity to that trend."

Russell E. Train, Republican, former environmental official under Presidents Nixon and Ford

"We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late. The science is clear. The global warming debate is over."

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican, Governor, California

"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."

John McCain, Republican, Senator, Arizona

"These technologies will help us become better stewards of the environment - and they will help us to confront the serious challenge of global climate change."
