You don't need to talk. Just get her to start talking about herself, answer any questions she might have, and go with it. Women love to talk about themselves, so just let them. Oh, but you gotta make sure you look interested.

It's something that happens. It's not easy for everyone to start an interesting conversation with somebody you're trying to know better. Sometimes it's best to let the other person take the lead role, and then follow her lead. Some of us are better listeners and some are better communicators. A good relationship takes time to develop, and it's better to do it with not only the right words, but also the right attitude. Have a good one.

We call that general culture, you have to learn to read a lot more about every kinda topics. Read magazines, newspapers, gossips websites, watch the news, the Entertainment channels, Discovery channel, etc...you will always have something to share and to talk about if the person has interests.
You'll be susprised how well-appreciated you will be if you can talk about stuff not all men know ..

I'm sure you have - they may not be the same as everyone else is talking about though. If conversation is essential in a date, then the thing to do would be to find a girl with similar interests.

You have to do something together, possibly before you go out with her, so that you can talk about previous experiences. That's where most conversations start, with a reference to something in your mutual past.

Because you are scared sh i tless of girls and you have no self confidence.
When in the situation and you can't think of ANYTHING to talk about, by default you just talk about her, she will have NO problem having a conversation about her hair or new shoes or petty nails. Trust me it works.
